Chapter 25

She tapped on the door and waited as she hummed with a smile on her face. After a few moments the door opened to see a smallish, slightly chubby woman with red hair looking at her. The woman was smiling, but that smile disappeared as soon as she saw who was at the door.

'Oh, it's you!' She mumbled with a roll of her eyes.

'Hello Mrs Weasley, lovely day!'

'Yes. Come in I suppose Lavender!' Molly replied with a slight hiss as Lavender didn't even notice the tone in her voice and nodded as she slipped past the older woman and made a beeline straight for the stairs.

She reached Ron's bedroom and knocked on the door, not waiting for an answer she opened the door and entered with a smile on her face.

'Oh. Hi!' Ron said looking surprised that Lavender had turned up. 'I didn't know you were coming...'

'I did it Won Won. I made her pay!'

'Who... what!' Ron's eyes widened in fear as he looked at Lavender, lifting his arm over his head and then lowering it as he turned around for a moment before turning back to her.

'What have you done?'

He raced down the hall of St Mungo's after receiving an urgent OWL from Ginny telling him to hurry up and get here. His heart was pounding from his chest and his eyes were wide with fear as he saw the red head up a head.

'GINNY!' He bellowed as the woman had her back to him. He ran as she spun around, cuddling her chest with her arms and tears running down her cheeks.

'Where is she? Is she okay? Is the baby...' he stopped mid sentence as Ginny choked back a sob and clutched one hand over her mouth.

'The baby?' He questioned as all Ginny could do was shake her head.

Tears instantly formed in his eyes as he caught his breath in the back of his throat. He turned, facing the wall as his bottom lip trembled.

He felt the anger begin to build and his hand curled into a fist before his fist connected with the wall as he punched it so hard he felt a sharp pain surge right through his arm and into his shoulder.

He dropped to his knees and ran his fingers through his hair as Ginny wrapped her arms around his neck from behind and soothed him as he began to cry.

'I'm so sorry,' she sniffed as Draco dropped his head in his hands as tears ran down his cheeks. 'So sorry!'

'You did what?' Ron screamed as his mouth dropped open and he grabbed his hair with both hands. 'Jesus, bloody Merlin Lavender you... oh god!

'But... Won Won I thought you'd be proud of me...'

'Proud!' He scoffed as he glared at her. 'You do know Hermione's pregnant!' He screamed as Lavender's eyes widened and her mouth dropped open as an 'oh' escaped.

'Oh is bloody right... if she... you've probably just made things a million times worse you... oh god!' He moaned as he slumped on the bed and dropped his head in his hands in defeat.

'I'm sorry Ron-'

'Get out!' He warmed as Lavender looked at him and her bottom lip began to tremble.

'But-'

'GET OUT!' He screamed as he pointed toward the door behind her, w arching as she silently began to cry before turning and racing out the door.

'Jesus bloody hell...' he muttered. What was he going to do now!

After composing himself and cleaning his hand up as it had already started to bruise he entered the room, gently closing the door behind him.

Her back was to him, and she was curled up in the foetal position with a white blanket covering her just up over her hips.

He could see from the door that her body was shaking, which meant she was crying.

Slowly he made his way over to her, new tears threatening to spill back down his own cheeks. The side of the bed dipped as he climbed on top and lay himself down beside her, shuffling himself into her and wrapping a protective arm over her stomach, lying his head in the crook of her neck and on top of the side of hers.

'Baby...' He choked as her sobs began to get louder and she shuffled herself back as far into him as she could get as her sobs finally turned into hysteria and she cried loudly into him, her whole body shaking as she dipped her head lower down and lifted her right hand to cover her face as her hand shook violently.

There they stayed, not once moving from that position as finally Draco began to cry with her. Mourning what they had just lost and what they would never get to meet.

No more words were spoken between them, they just lay there, entwined together as they cried and held each other tightly, not wanting to let go.

A/N... so I know this isn't a long chapter, but this chapter is crucial for the next few chapters that will be coming up.
