When we first met,
I couldn't believe you were real.
You were a light in my dark,
The candle that lit my flame.
But ever since we met,
Sleep has become void.
Don't take this the wrong way,
But you have brought back terrors .
Terrors from my past,
I have tried so hard to lock away.
I became scared,
Because everything came back.
But this has ignited my fire,
I have been able to fight, instead of hide.
The demons are slowly being conquered,
And I am a warrior in myself.
I will continue to fight,
For we are fighters.
And we will not perish,
We can't.
I refuse to perish by my own nightmares.
