It was December of 1955, and it was still warm in Hollywood. I walked down to the theater where the premiere of The Rose Tattoo would take place. Celebrities piled out of their cars and walked inside while cameras flashed.

I stood in the crowd amongst the others front and center as red velvet rope held us back from the red carpet.

Rebel Without A Cause hit screens and it was a major hit. Teenage girls around the country swooned and mourned all at the same time while watching James on that big screen.

I sat in the theater as I overheard girls crying saying they missed him. How could they miss someone they didn't know? It angered me hearing things like that.

James never even got to see the height of his career.

Finally, the moment came where the crowd screamed even louder. Marlon arrived to the premiere with Marlon Monroe. He'd lost the weight he gained in recent months, and he was looking healthy.

Was he happy? That wasn't clear. Hollywood had a tendency to take the saddest people and make them the richest and the most envied.
