Chapter 30

Emma's POV

"Do you think you'll be out for Christmas?" I asked Blake as I made my first move in the game.

"Uh I don't know, hopefully" Blake shrugged moving his checker to a black space

"Well say you aren't, I'll spend the day with you don't worry" I said smiling

"Thanks Em, you don't have to. Im sure I will be discharged before then." Blake said hopping his piece over mine

"Oh come on!" I groaned as he happily took my piece off the board

"Not my fault you stink" Blake laughed waiting for me to go

"Stop making out cause we're here!" Lola announced barging into the room

"Oh yes because playing checkers is equivalent to making out" Blake said rolling his eyes still focusing on the game

"Hey Blake how ya holdin up?" Henry asked going over towards Blake

"Not as sore as last night but still kinda sore. How are you? I heard you got more cuts than me" Blake said looking up for the first time

"Eh I mean they're just scratches" Henry shrugged taking a seat

"Wait a minute, if Henry had more scratches then why is he out before you?" Lola asked confused

"Because I have a really bad wound next to my spleen and they want to make sure it heals properly" Blake sighed leaning back on his pillow

"And you got this cut from?" Lola asked waiting for Blake to explain further

"I guess it's story time then...lock the door I don't want any interruptions so absolutely no questions until after I finish. " Blake said

Lola leaped up from her spot and fully shut the door and locked it before proceeding back to her original spot.

"Henry do you know about jack?" Blake asked

"Uh I know the general story" Henry answered rubbing the back of his neck

"Alright good" Blake said taking a deep breath

"I walked into the place normally like how I would any night. I went to the back and got changed into my fighting clothes when I met my opponent. I knew from the first word that left his stupid ass mouth that it was fucking Jack. He changed a lot. He's more built and a bigger douche than before. Anyway so I said my hellos thinking maybe he didn't recognize me. Little did I know that he had a few tricks up his sleeve. Once we hit the mat I knew he remembered me. At first he was shocked to see me but that soon changed as the bell rung. During the fights you're only aloud to use body parts to attack with no outside weapons. In the middle of the fight I noticed some thing glisten under neath the light in his pocket. I knew it was a knife of some sort so I freaked out. I got him on the ground and was so close of winning but jack swiftly took the knife out. That is when all hell broke loose. All it took was all the guys to see the knife and they were all going nuts. I quickly got up and that's when I noticed Henry. I went up to him and told him to get me something sharp in which he did....thank you by the way. So jack had a knife and I had this sharp looking item, I didn't get a chance to see it and we started attacking each other forgetting about all the rules. While me and jack were fighting it out everyone around us soon joined in ending it up to be this huge fight. I don't remember anything after getting punched in the jaw." Blake said telling us his side of the story

I know he remembers more but for now that's good enough I guess. Maybe I'll squeeze it out of him later.

"Jack? He's here?" Lola asked in shock
