the cities heat glazed down onto Alex's back as he wandered through his apartment complex, it had been a struggle, it felt like he'd been walking for days. the heat wave had been messing with everyones sense of reality, it had been going on for too long, and hell knows that it would just keep dragging on with the state of the worlds climate. everything has been happening so slowly, moving around since y/n said those words.

alex remembered the the moment. he was frozen. the moment y/n's face fell into one of regret and embarrassment. they haven't spoken in a week, for alex it fell like years. he knew it reacted negatively, he hated himself for it. he hated how he couldn't get the confidence to call y/n. the girl he loved. loves. he loves her.
