Chapter 9

The next morning Jacob and Alexa woke up at the same time, he looked down at her as she wiped her eyes. "Good morning kitten" Jacob whispered and put his head down on the pillow again. "Good morning Jacob" Alexa yawned and snuggled into him, putting her head back on his chest.

"So is this what it's going to be like after we get married? Waking up with you in my arms?" He said with a sleepy tone in his voice. "I like snuggling into something when I'm sleeping, so yes" Alexa giggled still half asleep. "Ahh I wouldn't mind, you can snuggle up to me as much as you want" Jacob started stroking the skin of her arm with his thumb.

There was a knock on the bedroom door and Dianna walked in, "oh good you're both awake. Breakfast is ready". Alexa informed her mother that the two of them were coming and making Dianna leave the room. "Come on Soldier, I'm starving" Alexa climbed all over him to get out of bed but was stopped half way by Jacob. She was basically lying down on him when he stopped her, he raised his head and gave her a kiss on the lips. She kissed him back, pulling away she gave him a big smile, "I love you kitten, don't ever forget that" Jacob said as he moved a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I love you too, but we better get out of bed before my mum comes again" Alexa smiled at him.

She continued to climb over him until she got out of bed, putting her hand out to Jacob and signalling him to get out of bed. He grabbed her hand, holding her hand tightly and climbed out as well. He sat on the edge of the bed and pulled Alexa down onto his lap, as reflex she put one arm around his neck and her other hand on his chest. Jacob put his head under he chin, his cheek resting on her chest and he stayed like that for a little while. Alexa tilted her head to the side and put her cheek on to the top of his head, stroking his hair. It was a lovely moment for them both, embracing each other like that and they hated it when Dianna interrupted them again by knocking on the door and yelling out to them.

"I told you she won't leave us alone" Alexa giggled and kissed the top of his head. She stood up still holding Jacob's hand and led him out to the dining room.

"Good morning Jacob and Alexa" Tom greeted them at the table. "Good morning dad" Alexa greeted him back and sat at the table with Jacob. "Hope you both had a good sleep" Tom smiled and Alexa nodded. "Hope you both didn't mind me staying the night without notice. Alexa put titanic on and we just fell asleep" Jacob explained as he watched his fiancé put food onto his plate. "Not at all Jacob. I know the feeling of falling asleep to that movie. Dianna always made me watch it with her" Tom chuckled and Jacob smiled at him.

"What do you have planned for today sweetie?" Dianna asked Alexa, "I was going to say we should go to Falls End and look around for a wedding dress and some wedding supplies". Jacob smirked under his beard, not showing it to anyone as he dug into his food. "Sounds good to me mum, I didn't have anything planned. We should really start getting things organised for the wedding" Alexa suggested, "Jacob, do you know where the Father wants us to do the wedding?". Jacob looked up at her and shook his head, "no, he only talked about doing the ceremony in his church, that's about it" He leaned towards Alexa's ear and whispered to her, "what did I say about calling Joseph by his name?". "Oh shhh" Alexa laughed and shoved food into his mouth before placing a little kiss on the corner of his lip. He gave her a smirk and sat back upright in his chair, shaking his head at his fiancé who was still giggling.

Jacob and Tom had gone to work together while Dianna, Alexa and Gina went wedding dress shopping in Falls End. It was another exciting moment for Dianna, she was already feeling emotional just picturing her daughter in a white wedding dress and how beautiful she was going to look on her wedding day.

Her eyes started tearing up and Alexa couldn't help but notice, "you're crying already mum? I haven't even tried anything yet" Alexa said as she scanned through the wedding dresses at the shop. "I can't help it, this is such a special moment for me as a mother" Dianna wiped away her tears and continued to search for a dress. Alexa smiled at her mother before giving her attention to the white dresses in front of her.

"Have you and Jacob talked about where you guys are going to live after the wedding?" Dianna asked. "Mum, we haven't even spoke about anything. Jacob hasn't even mentioned anything about a house or anything" Alexa informed her mother. "You must talk to him about it Alexa. How would we know where to move your stuff?" Dianna looked confused.

Alexa was starting to get a little annoyed with her mothers constant questions, this is meant to be a special moment and all these questions were ruining it for Alexa. "Mum can we not talk about this right now. Just help me look for a dress" she raised her voice slightly, enough for Gina to hear and approach them.

"What's happening here?" Gina asked looking between her mother and sister. "Look mum, I'll talk with Jacob about it when the time is right. He's too busy with work right now and isn't in any state to worry about those stuff" Alexa felt guilty for raising her voice at her mother, so she put her hand on her mothers shoulder and smiled, "I promise you". Dianna smiled at her and nodded, just like that they continued to look for a wedding dress.

The wedding dress was picked out finally, Alexa even tried it on and her mother and sister couldn't help but cry happy tears. Now it was time for her sister and mother to find a dress for the wedding, Alexa helped them make some decisions like what colour each of them should wear, what style they should go for and stuff like that.

As Gina and Dianna were paying for their dresses after finding them, Alexa's phone started ringing and it was Jacob as usual. "Hello Soldier" Alexa greeted and all she heard was Jacob chuckle. "I'm guessing Soldier is my nickname?" Jacob picked on her and Alexa rolled her eyes. "No silly, aren't you a soldier?" She laughed a little. "I use to be but you continue to call me that" he chuckled again.

Alexa and Jacob stayed quiet for a little bit, she was extremely excited to tell Jacob she found a wedding dress but knew he'd get angry about her buying it and not him. "Jacob?" She called out to him. "Yeah kitten?" He replied back. "So I, umm, I bought my wedding dress" she closed her eyes and shut her mouth tightly as she waited for him to answer. All she heard was him sigh with disappointment and prepared to hear him get angry at her. "You couldn't wait for me kitten? What did I say about buying your dress without me?" Yep she was right Jacob was angry again. "Don't ruin this for me Jakey, I'm sorry, I just couldn't help myself" her soft voice made him feel bad for getting angry at her but he was not done with her yet and he was going to make sure she knew the next time he saw her.

"I've got to go Alexa, we will talk later" her heart broke once again by Jacob, calling her by her name was enough for her to know he was very angry. She hung the phone up without saying goodbye to him and just then her mother and sister walked out. They could see by her sad face that something happen, if someone touched her at this moment, she was going to break down and cry.

"Honey what happened?" the question from her mother was actually enough for her to break down. She looked up at her mother and shook her head, "can we go home?" She begged. "But we haven't even got any shoes" Gina replied but gave it when she saw the tears roll down her sister's cheek. "Did Jacob get angry about you buying the dress?" Dianna asked and Alexa nodded, "oh dear, let's go home and get you settled down". The three ladies jumped in the car and drove back home, no one saying a word.
