Maddie got the courage to walk inside the restaurant, ignoring the people who looked at her as she walked past. She sat at the end of the table Sam, Gil and Harry were sitting at, twiddling with her thumbs.

Gil got up to get a new tray of food, putting her in the sight line of Sam, who beckoned her over. Maddie took a deep breath of air, as she stood from her spot and sat on the other side of Sam, in the seat Gil has just vacated.

"Hey." Gil pouted as he returned to the table, putting down his tray in front of her and frowning slightly. "Where do I sit."

"Don't be a baby." Sam said, poking him in the shoulder. "Sit in front of us."

"But I wanna watch the TV." Gil said, in a whining tone, causing Sam to roll her eyes.

"Sit next to her." Sam said, as Gil grumbled under his breath, taking a seat next to Maddie.

"Who is she anyway?" Gil asked, giving her a once over, his eyebrows knit in concentration, "I don't remember seeing her from anywhere."

"Gil's right." Harry said, "I don't recognize her from anywhere,"

"She was literally here yesterday." Sam said. "How did you forget who she is?"

"I wasn't here yesterday, Sam." Harry reminded "I haven't been here all week, remember."

"Shut up drama queen."

"I am not a drama queen."

"Okay." Gil intervened. "Before you two make out again, can I know who she is."

"We were not going to do that." Sam said.

"Maybe a little." Harry said.

"Maddie." Sam said, ignoring Harry.

"Oh." Gil said, clapping his hands together. "That girl whose crazy." Maddie turned her head away from them, as Sam flicked Gil in the forehead. "Ow."

"Don't call her crazy." Sam said.

"Why? She is. She's not actually here. We are just seeing her from her imagination."

"I'm so confused." Harry said. "How is she not here?"

"Because she's not." Gil said. "Nobody gets it."

Maddie watched them debate on whether she was crazy or not. She also watched Sam open a watch, flipping it open, and reading the time that was on the clock. Harry had taken notice, stopping arguing with Gil, taking the watch out of her hands.

He clipped it back onto his belt, pulling a necklace out of his pocket, standing behind her, and clipping it on her neck. Sam looked down at the necklace, that she had been looking for since the day they broke up, for the eighteenth time.

"Don't look so surprised." Harry said, "I took your necklace."

"And I was locked in a basement for losing it." Sam said.

"I know that was the whole point." Harry said. "I thought being locked in a place with your mother for more than five minutes would get to you and you'd come back to me."

"That didn't happen." Sam said. "My mom got bored with me after three days."

"Don't act all innocent." Harry said. "My dad almost killed me for losing one of his watches."

"I know. I was there." Sam reminded.

"Is it that hard for you two to avoid each other." Gil said.

"Shut up Gil." Sam said. "It is hard to avoid each other when we live in the same place."

"And that my dad is her dad's Captain."

Captain. The puzzle pieces started to fit together. Sam was the daughter of Smee, who'd she'd caihht glimpses off as she watched Sam without Sam's knowledge.

He bore a slight resemblance to his daughter though she very much looked like her mother the Evil Queen. He still wore his red hat that she'd seen in her Auradon textbook, that Sam sometime replicated though she sometimes wore a tiara to match her mother. He wore his blue and white stripped t shirt and red pants with his brown sandals, just like he had in the picture.

Then there was his Captain the infamous Captain Hook, with his red jacket and hooked hand that had given him his name. And Harry had been present then. With his similar red jacket and hook he'd earned from his father.

Sam and Harry had somewhat bickered then, sending well directed insults to each other, each seeming to know the words to get under the other's skin, but Maddie hadn't paid it much attention, knowing that was how most people on the Isle acted. But that further cemented the idea that Sam would and could never look at anyone the way she looked at Harry, something that everyone here seemed to notice that the two didn't.

If they were in a place where love was an open subject to talk about and was not frowned upon, not like where they were now where relationships were used to bring an enemy down for the sake of your gang.

"Okay." Gil said, but he realized neither Sam nor Harry were listening to him. "Hey Sam didn't you say you were going somewhere?" Gil realized he was coming to deaf ears, as Sam and Harry were talking in hushed tones, neither of them paying attention to him. "Is there a reason you guys broke up that we don't know about?"

"No." Sam and Harry said at the same time.

"Didn't you say you were going somewhere?" Gil repeated, looking between the two like he didn't believe them.

"I did?"

"Well yeah." Gil said. "This morning you said you were going to Lady Tremaine's."

"Why would you go to Tremaine's." Harry said, snappily. "Go to the Queen of Hearts' instead."

"Someone sounds jealous." Gil said, earning a glare from Harry.

"The last time I went there she almost cut my head off." Sam said flatly, crossing her arms over her chest.

"That sounds a wee overdramatic." Harry said. "Just because she says it doesn't mean she'll do it."

"She held a knife to my throat just because my mom was so adamant at not paying her." Sam said. "I'm not even allowed to walk through the door anymore anyway."

"Fine." Harry said. "I'll come with you."

"Since when did you like going there with me?"

"Since you went out with Anthony."

" You know Evie is going to be there, right?" Sam said. "Or at least she said she'd be there. She's going to. But she's with Mal, so I highly doubt it."

Sam had already made her way to the door.

"Are you coming or?" Sam said.

"Coming." Harry said.

"Do you want to come?" Sam asked, her question directed to Maddie.

Maddie nodded slightly, making her way to the door. The trio walked through the marketplace, making their way toward Lady Tremaine's Curl up N' Dye.

When they entered, Sam not minding the sign that said it opened at midnight. A little girl stood sweeping, an assortment of hair colors listening to the Auradon music radio as Sam tapped her shoulder. The girl looked up in fear but it was soon replaced with a smile.

"Sam!" The girl squealed, throwing herself into Sam's arms, giving her a hug.

"Dizzy!" Sam said.
