mackenzie's water had broke an hour ago.
johnny had been standing next to her as she lied on her bed, clutching onto her hand tightly with motivational words escaped his lips every time.
"i love you." he whispered accidentally, but it was muffled through kenzie's cries.

everyone else was outside the room, in the waiting area.
"i think the baby is a girl." darius suggested, leaning his head on nadia's shoulder sleepily.
"no way. it's a dude." carson denied, nodding confidently.
"i think both of you are wrong." hayden said, cracking his neck.
"hayden, that's not possible." lauren giggled, hugging his arm.
"unless the baby is some kind of creature!" hayden exclaimed excitedly.
"the only possible chances of that happening is if either kenzie or john are a hybrid of human and some creature." nadia pointed out.
"you never know." hayden said.
"bro, are you being serious?" darius chuckled.
"eh." hayden replied lazily.
"so you do slightly think it's a weird creature?" brynn smirked.
"nope. just a joke." hayden spoke awkwardly.
"you know, if you really think it's a creature you don't have to lie." lauren laughed.
"it was a joke." hayden said.
"okay then, well, i think it's a boy." nadia stated.
"ha darius! two against one!" carson chanted, pumping his fist in the air.
"no, you didn't ask us. i think it's a girl." lauren said.
"i think it's a girl too." brynn agreed.
"look who's winning now, carson!" darius exclaimed competitively.
