'What do I do Cat?' I ask Caterina about what had happened with Alec. 'I mean he must be feeling really awful because he thinks he did something wrong'.
'Magnus! Come on, I thought taking a walk would calm your mind, but you seem more anxious than ever. I'll tell you this much; Alec can't avoid you forever he must really like you if he initiated it right?'
'I guess.' I say with a sigh. We continue walking for a while and I notice Alec his hands intertwined with those of two girls.
I can't help, but stare as I watch him walk away. 'I wanna go back now'. I tell her dejected.

I can't say its not hard to stand next to your own kid and not tell him that I'm his mother. What is he like? What does he like? Etc. Endless questions engulf my mind as I stare at Alec's empty desk.
