I was bored and I didn't know what to do

I was bored and I didn't know what to do. The school already ended, I didn't work yet, although it would be good, because the money sent by my parents is running short. I handed in my CV to a café but they looked for an experienced waitress and I will never have experiences if they don't give the job to rookies. I applied for a job as an auxiliary teacher in a summer camp but I lost it. There was someone who applied for the last empty place before me. My last hope was in that messed up advertisement, I just wrote down who I am and which neighborhood can I undertake babysitting. It wasn't exhausting for me I've always loved children and challenges and these two things are the points of babysitting. I couldn't even imagine an easier job and an opportunity to earn money than looking after a fairy-like child, feed it or play with it, maybe study or read something together. It sounded so much better than sitting on my sofa, on my butt for free and watching pointless series and replays on TV all summer. Because I'm not in the mood of going out, the weather is too sultry for that. And if people go out with their friends, after two weeks, it gets boring to shop, go to the cinema or a café, especially if you don't have money to buy anything. This year I was on the beach with my friends once, but it was so crowded, so we decided to go somewhere else after one hour.

It was difficult to do something, everybody went abroad or were with their family or with her boyfriend or his girlfriend... And there was me, two countries far from my parents to study at the best university in the world and I got admission. This was all great until the moment, after two years at the university I realized, that it's hard to work beside school, to have time to sleep a little in my bed, not during my classes. And if I don't work, I don't have money, ergo I can't buy a plane ticket a train ticket or a bus ticket to go home. My parents finance my apartment's overhead expenses, but these reserves have run out too. I don't have a job for two months and I really need one by now. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy relaxing and having nothing to do but unfortunately I don't get paid for this.

My ringtone disillusionized me. I sighed loudly and dropped my head back as I realized that I have to get up for that phone. I pushed myself up from the couch accompanied by a moan and stepped two to reach the table, where my vibrating phone was. I counted on my parent's call but instead, I saw an unknown number on the screen. I shrugged my shoulders and swiped the little green icon to answer the phone.

-Hello?- I said.

-Hello, I'm looking for Yoora- sounded a woman's voice from the other end of the line.

-I'm Yoora- I informed her and took a seat on the sofa again.

-My name is Min Seulgi and I've read your advertisement in a newspaper- she introduced herself and said her reason to call.

My eyes widened and I smiled. I slid forward on the mattress to pay more attention to the caller now.

-Yes- I said simply.

-I have a job for you- the woman chuckled on the phone. - Her name is Haru and she is 4 years old.

-Okay- I smiled like a delirious.

A little girl? I prayed in secret, when someone shows interest I don't get a hyperactive little boy, because then I'm sure that we would play that we are Indians and I would bind him to a chair, stuff his mouth and I would dance around him my dance of joy.

-You must come starting the next week, if you can- she continued.

-Of course, sure- I agreed immediately.

-Super. Can I reach you with this number?

-Yes, you can call me.

-Alright, I'll send you the address- she offered.

-Okay, thank you- I wrang my hands to not shout in the phone out of my happiness.

-If you have time tomorrow afternoon, you can come over to have a conversation about pecuniary things and to get to know you a little better before I entrust my daughter to you- she said worriedly.

-Yes, of course, no problem, I understand- I nodded heatedly.

-Okay- she sounded a little more joyful.-Then I'll send you the address soon and I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

-Great, thank you so much.

-Thank you, see you tomorrow- she told goodbye.

-Goodbye-I did the same and put down the phone.

I placed the gadget in a safe distance before would start a crazy flurry and a foolish dance on the couch and around the couch. I'm going to have a job! I don't have to sell any of my organs! Hurray!

I continued with the jumping and roundelay like seaweed in the water, around the living room until I got tired and sat on the soft pillows. I caught my breath and continued to watch TV like nothing happened. I glanced at the phone per minute when will I get the text with the address. I'm looking forward to going. Not because I became a workaholic just even so I really need the money, but I was very happy to look after a little girl. The mother's voice sounded kind too, I hoped, that we could get along with each other, with the girl and with her mother too.
