18 - The Right Time

Met a girl

on the newest

fourth of June.

She told me she

liked to rise at noon.

She had games

and all the things I knew

I'd lose myself in,

and wouldn't wanna leave when

I had to.

She had these

spiraling insecurities

and she

wrapped her arms

around mine.

It was like a show,

like romantic prime-time,

and I'd never forget

that night.

For every letter in her name

I'd stay up another hour,

'cause she was

too cliche to be sour.

She was wine,

rosebud and thyme,

and I was just the guy

of the same mind

at the right time.

I never thought that I

could enjoy a love like that.

The dramatic

but genuine

one, where

she opens up and

I just know

all the right things to say.

I'm recognized

in all the right, right ways.

Yeah,

I'm recognized

in all the beautiful ways.
