Keith let out a sigh as he threw his phone on his bed and started to get dress. Sure Lance has seen him shirtless before but he rather not today. He hadn't been sleeping for the past 5 days due to a nightmare, course he didn't tell Lance or Shiro that. Only Adam knew because he was the one who woke him up.

Staring out his window watching the sunset was calming, too calming. Scared he'd fall asleep he started to counted all the times he explained why hippos are amazing to people and give facts about them.

"Hey buddy how ya feeling? You know I know it must have been bad but you can't keep staying awake. Your insomnia already does that, you don't need to make it worse." Adam says as he came in and sits next to Keith, interrupting his hippo fact counting.

Keith looks down kinda feeling guilty knowing Adam was right but then again, he didn't see what he saw. He didn't feel how it felt to see everyone you thought cared just walk past you, not caring if you were there. His breathing started to pick up as he started to remember his nightmare. Adam notices this.

"Hey, hey I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you recall it. Just breathe, I'm here, I'm here Keith." He says as he holds Keith in his arms gently rocking them. Keith wraps himself around Adam and clenchs his shirt trying to remind himself that he's okay.

"Uh sorry am I interrupting something?" Lance says as he awkwardly slides into the room.

Keith quickly let's go of Adam clearly embarrassed and starts fumbling with his words.

"U-uhm no you just- we just were um-"

"No we're done. I was just ' forcing' Keith to give me my weekly hug. Y'know its hard to get affection from kids these days." He says with a wink and a smirk.

'Thanks' Keith mouths to Adam and with that silent thanks Adam leaves the room.

"That was cute" Lance chuckles as he tosses a convenient store bag next to the bed along with his backpack.

"Oh shut up Leandro!" Keith says back with a smirk knowing full well that his mom calls him that when he gets in trouble or when she's squishing his cheeks and kissing his face all over.

Lance quickly turns red when he hears it.

"Okay okay! I get it, anyways why'd you tell me to come over? Not that I mind, mama doesn't mind either. Y'know you should come over sometime, I'm sure she'd love to meet you properly and not when you're drunk out of your mind." The cuban finishes with a flop on the bed so strong Keith got tossed in the air a little.
