CP 8 Betrayal

I returned from Highgarden and immediately walked to my father's office "I heard the alliance is a success, great job son, I knew I could count on you, you are now the lord of the island of Gaston grey, an island above dorne, congratulations my son! "he looks at me "why the angry face"

I slam the 2 letters I had found in Highgarden down on the desk we were working at "explain NOW" I raise my voice

He looks at the letters as his face widens then he sighs "your mother wasn't a farmer as I had said and you are not actually my bastard, you were given to me by ned stark when you were a child, he begged me to take you and said Robert would kill you if I didn't, ned stark was a good man but never told me who your parents were, I asked him many times and he said you will find it all out when the time is right" he begins to tear up "you must understand I have loved you like a son and I understand your feelings, remember your home is always in dorne and you will always be welcome here" he says

"I am sorry" I say for my behavior earlier and I embrace my father "but I must go to kings landing, I must talk to Eddard and find out whom I am" I walk out of the room and tristane looks startled like he was doing something wrong right at the door

"tristane what do you need my friend?" I ask

"I heard your conversation with father, I will support what ever you do, you will always be my brother" he says as he hugs me "should I come to kings landing with you then?"

"no" I reply "your place is in dorne and the marriage in a month must be a success for all of us"

His eyes light up "oh yes my marriage, what is she like ??? you must tell me"

"brother, trust me when I say she is the gem of the south, her beauty is uncompared to and her wit and intelligence is as good as her fathers if not better, you will love her I guarantee it" I comfort him

"Thank you Nyrn, when do you leave for kings landing?" he asks

"tristane I must leave tonight the sooner I find out who I am the better" I hug him "don't worry too much"

"it's a shame you just got back but I understand" he sighs "safe travels brother"

I wave at him and go to haydren "my friend there is no rest to the wicked" I say

"what happened with you father?" haydren asks

"father said I was dropped onto to him by ned stark when I was a baby because of the threat on my life by Robert, that is why we must go to kinngslanding, I need to find out from the stark himself"

"of course, ill be ready within the hour, ill always be there for you" says as he starts repacking

After a few hours we are at the border of dorne, a small seaside town, I make my way to the port of the town and get off my house while haydren looks confused at me "haydren I may have lied when I said we are going to kings landing, I need you to go to my new island Gaston grey and raise its banners and train my men, while I am gone you are the acting lord"

"of course," he smiles and hugs me "safe travels my friend" he says and boards the boat which takes him to the island. I watch him for a few minutes then continue my own journey to kingslanding.

Eddard Stark

Before I reached the queens chambers, I sent ravens to the north and to Stannis explaining the situation as well as forwarding another letter I was given to Robb.

I reach the queens chambers and open the door facing her while she drinks wine on a table "I know your secret Cersei"

She turns to me "close the door" she motions to a guard, the door closes

"what exactly do you think you know?" she asks unamused

"I know Joffrey is not Roberts son! you killed Jon arryn when he started to investigate and then you crippled my son when he saw you" I shout

Her eyes widen as I continue "for the safety of your life I suggest you leave kings landing at once with your brother because once I tell Robert you will not want to be here" I say and then leave the room leaving her stunned

I hear trumpets and see the king is on a stretcher being taken to his room, follow them to Roberts room as they tell me a boar impaled him on the hunt. I walk to his bed as he ushers the measter to leave and close the door "I never thought it would be a boar, ned hand me that parchment and pen" I hand it to him and he starts reading what he is writing " I Robert of house Baratheon pronounce Eddard stark protector of the realm until my son Joffrey Baratheon comes of age" he hands me the letter

I won't tell him in his last moments "king Robert I will do as you command" I say

"you were always one for formalities, time to see if heaven is as good as they say, goodbye my friend" Robert says then closes his eyes.

I walk out of the room and head for the throne room to see that grand measter pycell is already proclaiming Joffrey Baratheon king "objection!" I shout and wave the paper Robert have given me and the evidence I have found against Joffrey "Joffrey is a bastard! he is the spawn of Cersei and Jaime Lannister! he cannot be king !" I shout.

"guards seize this traitor, he is lying to seize power for himself" Cersei screams and the kings guard advance on my men and I as I nod toward Baelish to help me like he promised

"I told you not to trust me" lord Baelish says as he motions his golden cloaks. They then impale my men on their spears and as I stab at them to the left and right killing a few of them they eventually overwhelm me knocking me unconscious.

i know this is a shorter chapter but i intend to edit it in the future to elaborate on it. that makes 10000+ words, what do you think of the story so far ? ned is now imprison how do you think the others will react ? how do you think nyrn will know who he is now ?
