Bebe and I enter to find Charlie cleaning a rifle. He starts to say hello to us, but Bebe instantly freaks out and blurts out. "I have a date with Edward Cullen." And both Charlie and I look to her, me with shock that she didn't even think before blurting out like she always does, and Charlie looks like he's having an aneurysm.

"He's too old for you." Charlie instantly says.

"We're both juniors." She said before stating more. "I thought you liked the Cullen's."

"And I thought you weren't interested in any of the boys in town." He retorted and I giggled.

"Edward doesn't live "in town." And it's in the early stage and -- whatever, he's outside right now." Bebe states.

"Now? He's out there?" Charlie says shocked.

"He wants to meet you. Officially." I said with a smile.

"Good." Charlie says and cocks the rifle in mock-seriousness. I laughed out loudly as Bebe shook her head at her father.

"Be nice, okay? He's... important." Bebe says seriously and Charlie gives Bebe a reassuring nod... then she opens the door to reveal Edward in a parka and gloves.

"Chief Swan. I wanted to formally introduce myself. I'm Edward." Edward says with a smile as he extends his hand. Charlie takes it, but grunts a hello, resisting him. "I won't keep Bella and Kara out late tonight. We're just going to go play baseball with my family."

"Bella's going to play baseball?" Charlie asks.

"Yes, sir, that's the plan." Edward says.

"Good luck with that!" I laughed loudly before waking out of the house and jumping inside Emmett's Jeep. I look up to see both Edward and Bebe climb into the massive JEEP parked in the drive.

"Your father thinks you should go to an all-girl's school." Edward laughed.

"No fair, reading Charlie's mind." Bebe says shaking her head with a chuckle. "And since when do vampires like baseball?" Bebe asked.

"It's the American pastime. Plus, there's a thunderstorm coming. It's the only time they can play. You'll see why." I said with a bright smile on my face.

As we approach the field, I look to the clouds gathering in the sky as we pull up in the Jeep. Both of us take in the rough baseball diamond, set into an enormous field in the lap of the Olympic peaks. Esme and Emmett come to greet Bebe and I as we walked over.
