Chapter Six

"The most important thing in the world is family and love."

"So you're having fun?" I asked as I stared outside watching my family rough house outside, Carlisle waiting for me to come back out as I had wanted to speak with Bebe for a bit.

"Yep, I really love Isle Karlene," Bebe giggles as I flush.

"Okay shut up, it was a honeymoon present thank you very much," I scoffed. "Edward will probably get you an island to in the future, we all do," I chuckled as I picked up a teddy bear, smiling at the tiny object in my hands.

"Stop staring at the teddy bear," I heard Bebe shout through the phone, and I chuckle softly.

"Give me a break I get to have a kid, something I've always wanted, can you blame me," I said as I put the teddy down and walked over to the window again, I see Carlisle and Jasper now practicing their fighting, the pair grin as the other tries to intercept each other. I feel a slight discomfort in my stomach as Nicola starts to move around. "Jeez at this rate Nicola will be a month early if she keeps kicking me," I grunt out as I move and sit down.

"Are you okay though?" Bebe questioned her voice lowering in worry.

"Yeah I'm fine, she was adjusting herself, probably getting ready to come," I chuckled as Nicola kicked me in the ribs. "Okay I don't think she liked that comment, she just kicked my ribs, I'm so glad I heal quick," I stated.

"Yeah so am I, how paranoid is Carlisle?" Bebe asked me and I just looked up pursing my lips.

"I mean, I have to have a lot of healthy food, I have to do light exercise, I get to have many doctors appointments and oh I can't forget the many times I have had help going down the stairs," I state with a smile on my face. "I think they sometimes forget that I can like appear in a different place."

"Mmm, that's freaking funny as," Bebe laughs as I scowl at the phone. But I stop as I smile sensing Seth approaching the house.

"Hey, I have to get going, Seth's here to see Nicola," I said to Bebe and I smiled seeing the boy approach Carlisle a smile on his face, Carlisle rolling his eyes but smiling none the less.

"Okay love you Kara," Bebe said, her voice joyful.

"Love you too chica," I laughed both of us hanging up.  I waddled down towards where Seth stood, laughing with Emmett. "Seth!" I called out as he turned and skipped over to me and hugging me. "Aww, how's my future son in law?" I asked smiling.

"Excited," he says laughing.

"Come my husband, we must see how my little Nicola is doing," I ordered as Carlisle smiles at the both of us, he nods and picks me up bridal style, causing a fit of laughter from me. Carlisle carried me inside as I chatted with Seth over his shoulder.

"I bet she's gonna have a combine of you hair," Seth said smiling. "Oh and do you know what, I think she's gonna be more like Carlisle," he said making me look to him wide eyed.

"I'm sorry what?" I asked.

"Well, she's probably gonna have Carlisle's attitude towards everyone, and then when she's with us, in the safety of you guys and hopefully me, she's gonna be mostly you but with hints of Carlisle," Seth stated, and I blinked thinking it over.

"You know what, I like that, Nicola, be like your daddy and then be kickass at the same time," I whispered down to my belly, a light kick was my response.

"Okay here we are," Carlisle said smiling as he placed me onto the bed, I pulled my shirt up straight away, a soft smile on my face as Seth watched Carlisle carefully, a gleam in his eyes showing interest. "You alright Seth?" Carlisle questioned.

"Oh yeah, I find this really cool, wish I could be a doctor," Seth chuckled, as Carlisle placed the gel on my stomach. I shivered, and Seth automatically came over giving me some of his warmth. Carlisle turned all the machines on and started to look for Nicola. I smiled seeing the image of our little baby girl. "She's gonna be a boy killer for sure," Seth chuckled smiling at the image.

"Oh yeah, and every boy that tries to flirt with her is gonna be presumed missing, then found dead in the woods," I stated happily.

"I thought that was the dads job?" Seth said with a cocked eyebrow.

"I never said it was going to only be myself, I thought both of you would join me," I chuckled. The pair smiled and nodded in agreement. "Granted though if we get caught, I ain't going down without a fight," I said looking at them. I didn't know if the pair knew I was being serious or not, but I most certainly was being serious.

"Neither," they answered together. Carlisle continued checking everything over and all of us were pleased to find that Nicola was doing great, nothing wrong with her and once the photo was taken, Carlisle printed one off for us and one for Seth. Seth took the picture carefully and smiled.

"I'm never letting this go," he whispered. We looked to the window as we heard howls. "I have to go now," he sighed disappointed. I smiled as I scooted up and brought the young boy into a tight hug.

"You are always welcome here, okay." I whispered, Seth smiled and nodded before waving and leaving the home. "Do you still dislike him?"

"No, not as much." Carlisle chuckled before helping me outside again. I looked at the sun shining through the foliage, Henrik appearing next to me as Carlisle went back into practicing the fighting with the boys.

'You're gonna be a great mum.' Henrik whispered. I smiled lovingly at my brother, both of us leaning back an enjoying the sunshine, and the peace.
