Karlene had never felt this many emotions in such a small amount of time, it almost felt foreign to her. Her eyes were filled with nerves, with happiness, with excitement and with a little sadness.

"You look stunning," a feminine voice spoke from behind her. Karlene turned quickly and saw her older sister Rebekah standing behind her in the purple dress she had chosen for her bridesmaids. Her blonde hair pulled up into a beautiful bun, with strands framing her face.

"You look amazing as well Becks," Karlene stated walking over to her sister and hugging her tightly. "You know I always thought you would get married first," Karlene whispered.

"Well, guess what, you're the one getting married before me, and before any of us," Rebekah stated smiling. "Granted though I wish it was me getting married first," Rebekah sighed dramatically. Karlene giggled softly at her sister, Rebekah smiled glad to have made Karlene less nervous about what is to come.

Karlene may be a hunter, never showing fear when it comes to hunting the supernatural. But right now she was out of her comfort zone. Her dress a mermaid dress, with a belt clasped around her middle, and connected to the belt was a long half skirt, to give her a train. She had also opted for flats, the disaster that would have happened had she worn heels, oh she couldn't think about what would have happened. See Karlene could wear heels but being stared at and walking down a dirt aisle with all those people, no she wouldn't survive.

Karlene turned back to the mirror and looked at herself again. "I'm nervous, but I'm extremely happy to be with the man I love," she whispered before Isabella, Bella for short, comes in seeing her best friend ready to make this big commitment.

"You ready?" Bella asked her friend. Karlene nods and walks out of the room and downstairs. Looking around Karlene sees her brother Nik waiting for her. Dressed to impress, Nik walks over and helps Karlene down the rest of the stairs. Bella and Rebekah right behind her. Kol comes walking out and whistles seeing his sister.

"Look at you miss Kara. Don't you look beautiful," Kol whispered with a brilliant smile rest on his face. Nik nodding in agreement to his younger brother.

"He's right you look beautiful." Nik stated calming Karlene down even more. Rebekah and Kol saw the way she relaxed so fast. Smiling to each other, the two realised that no matter what, Nik would be the one person she would go to for help, and they knew that if something ever happened to him, Kara would never be the same again.

But they were hopeful that Carlisle would always save her.

"Well, we should get this show on the road." Nik questioned, and a giant smile spread across Kara's face as she nodded. Kol quickly left the room to take his seat, Rebekah and Bella took their spots and Nik and Kara stood behind them just a little ways off. "What are you doing about the rings?" Nik questioned his little sister, who looked to the man and smiled.

"Well, someone's taken the job," Kara whispered before looking behind Nik and smiling as the young boy walked over to them. Nik frowned and turned before freezing seeing his little brother Henrik make his way down the aisle.

"Henrik?" Nik questioned quietly as the boy took his place in front of the pair.

"You ready Lenny?" Henrik asked his twin sister, who nodded happily. "Nik?"

"I'm ready," Nik whispered smiling happily with tears in his eyes.

As the three made it outside they saw that Rebekah had not noticed Henrik but Elijah and Kol had and they were both staring in shock. "Becks, turn around." Kara whispered. Rebekah turned and looked behind her to see the grinning little boy and just like Nik had done, Rebekah turned back with a bright smile and teary eyes.

"You've just made this so much more special," Nik whispered before the pair made it to the end of the aisle, Henrik stood just in front of Rebekah and Bella, Elijah stood just behind Carlisle whose eyes had not left Kara's. Kara shared a soft smile with the man who stood before her. 'Hello,' she mouthed to Carlisle. Carlisle doing the exact same.

"We are gathered here today, to unite two souls as one. Do you Carlisle Cullen and Karlene Mikaelson join us here of your own free will to acknowledge the eternal bond shared by both of you?" Elijah started as Nik tightened his grip on his sisters arm. She looked to him and smiled softly   that he was never okay with her ever getting married because to him no one is good enough but, he couldn't deny that Carlisle was her perfect match.

"I do," Carlisle answered.

"I do," Kara whispered smiling.

"Nik," Elijah whispered, Nik nodded and handed his little sisters hand over to Carlisle and smiled before walking over to his seat next to Kol. Both Carlisle and Kara turn to each other and stare so deeply that time was nothing but their imagination, they were each other's homes their loves. "Carlisle may you please recite your vows." Elijah spoke and Carlisle nodded staring into Kara's eyes.

"My dearest love, my soul and my friend, we meet at such a strange day with you holding your best friends hand after an accident. At the time we didn't realise what we were feeling was love." Carlisle started smiling. "Kara, I love you with a love that cannot be expressed in words - only in kisses, in glances, and in the years of our lives. It's unbelievable that I get the chance to promise myself to the person I consider my greatest friend and loving ally in all things. I love you and will cherish you for all time. And I vow to never stop being the person you can come to." Carlisle declared and every emotion filled their eyes.

"Kara, you may begin your vows." Elijah whispered to his teary-eyed sister.

"Carlisle, I vow to be a loving and devoted wife, without judgement, without scorn, but always with an open heart and mind. We are best friends, with unending happiness, always having the best time, let's solve life's mysteries together one embrace at a time." Kara started as the tears slipped down her face. Carlisle reached forward and brushed the tears away. This caused everyone to awe at the sight. "I truly love all I know of you and long to learn more as we grow together, falling for you a little more each day, being part of your life and connected in every way forever." Kara ended her smile brightening.

"Here before witnesses Carlisle Cullen and Kara Mikaelson, have sworn their vows to each other. With this cord I bind them to those vows." Elijah began again and wrapped the cord around their hands intricately. Being from the old times, the pair wanted their something old to be from those times when handfastings were a big thing and they both were overjoyed to know that Elijah still remembers how it is done.

"Heart to thee, body to thee, always and forever, so mote it be." The pair say together, and their witnesses speak happily as well.

"So mote it be."

"You may kiss the bride," Elijah says, and Carlisle leans forward and kisses Kara passionately, the loud applause of their guests ring through their ears. As Carlisle stops kissing Kara and rests his forehead on Kara's. The pair moved back for just a moment as Henrik came to stand in front of them and presented the rings to the pair, Carlisle took Kara's ring first and slipped it onto her ring finger where her engagement ring was, and Kara then followed slipping on Carlisle's ring. Carlisle's was a rich gold and Kara's a beautiful rose gold with a rose shaped diamond.

"I love you Mrs Mikaelson-Cullen."

"I love you more Mister Mikaelson-Cullen."
