Please DO read this through to the end.

'Everything is okay' for 24-year-old Alex Luke, a head chef at one of the most modest restaurants growing in town, besides her seemingly normal life, mundane chores, her impossibly adorable daughter, Rosie. This is until one day, her past comes back to haunt her, after 7 long years.
What follows is Alex's vacillated mind, her previous beliefs in question; with her life turned upside down--or better yet, back up; flashbacks, unfamiliar times, her impossibly adorable daughter growing up, but most of all: Alex's dilemma of accepting Rosie's father.
Set around the life of an independent and single mom, If Only... revolves around the decisions Alex makes; in the past and in the present, about what true happiness and love is; and whether we can all find it, but more importantly the internal war between her mind and her heart, about letting go and starting again.

First off, if you have already read this story description; then word to the wise: don't stick to it. Summarizing is really not my cup of joe. The prologue should be something fit to describe it.

I'll have you know that this is not my first shot at story writing. But this is the first story I have ever completed. And why should you read MY story? Because I'm not much for mumbo-jumbo and fancy words and most of my writing is about everyday things in purple prose and fair warning; it might bore you because of that. But if you believe and accept how life really is; with its straight roads and some ups and downs and some stops, and that you really can find that someone you can hold on to till the end; no matter what, then waste no time.

And if you don't agree, I'm pretty confident that by the end of this book--this journey, that'll change.
I'm fairly sorry if this might be a disappointment, but I've really put my heart, soul and everything in between into this. All I'm asking for, is a little patience. It's going to be a long ride.

Thank you.

Hoping you have a good read.

Fingers crossed,

J.R.
