After a few hours of sleep, the nurse said that Paul, Violet and I could return home. I look around the hospital room; observing every gift I'd been bought; flowers, balloons, food and even a baby hamper from Brian.

Surprisingly, I don't feel weak at all. I get out of bed easily and head to the bathroom to shower and get changed. I head back into the hospital room and see Paul has packed everything away, and has Violet in her carrier, snuggled up in a fluffy white blanket, in a deep sleep. He smiles at me as he notices me walking in; and I walk over to him quickly, wrapping my hands around his neck and kissing his lips softly. He looks down at me and laughs,

'What was that for, love?'

I shrug, kissing him again,

'Being wonderful'

He smiles, turning to pick up the baby carrier,

'Let's go home, yeah?'

I nod, grabbing the other bags,

'Yep'

We head out the hospital, I thank the nurses as does Paul. When we get in the car and start driving home, I realise something,

'My mum still doesn't know about Violet'

He shrugs,

'Well, we're gonna be touring soon, you could come to our London show and tell her then?'

I nod slowly,

'That sounds like a good idea. I know she'll never want to see me again, though'

'That's ridiculous'

'Trust me'

'Your mother is lovely, I doubt it'

I shake my head,

'I know, but she's very traditional. She'd be angry with me having a child with someone I'm not married to; let alone a drunk one night stand'

I notice Paul clench his jaw and his knuckles flash white quickly, but he soon relaxes. I know he knows that I'm right, but I guess he wants me to believe she'll be fine with it. I look behind me to the back seat to my sleeping daughter. She is so beautiful and fresh, like a raindrop. I smile at her; and just at that moment, she wakes up and starts crying. I sigh,

'She must be hungry'

Paul nods,

'We're nearly home now'

We soon pull up at the apartment, and I pick up Violet (who is still crying) and get a bottle out of the hospital bag and start feeding her; she soon shuts up. She looks very content, and drinks it up quickly. I sigh quickly at her mood swing, and follow Paul to the door; carrying a few bags.

He struggles to open the door considering the amount of bags he's carrying, but once he manages to twist the key in the lock and knock it open with his hip, we're alerted to many people in our living room. I see Laurel, George, John, Ringo, Maureen,Brian, George Martin, Paul's father and brother, and many other people. But the person who catches my eye who is standing at the far right of the group is Lucy.

Before I can approach her, everyone cheers when they see us, and Paul beams. I notice the effort everyone's gone to; banners and balloons everywhere. Even a small buffet table has been set up. The main banner hung above the sofa reads: WELCOME HOME VIOLET! In huge purple (Violet) letters, and shows various violets dotted among grass painted along the bottom of the banner. The balloons are purple and gold.

I pick Violet up out of her carrier and take her over to the group; introducing her to everyone. She's still awake after drinking. When she's awake she shows some resemblance to John within her eyes; they're the same shape. John walks over,
