Spirit Hound Chapter One: Awakened by Fate

"H...""Heh"*cough*I lay on the ground, surrounded by a pool of blood.Multiple gun shots through my chest.A metal rod stabbed through my stomach."Its so cold"The thousands I've killed.This is what I deserve."So this is what death feels like""Like sinking deep underwater"As the light leaves my eyes, The last thing I see is the Moon up above.(2 hours earlier)(1507 BC)*crunch**munch*"Much better"A light shines over me.I look up to see a police officer standing near the body."Heh, he looks tasty"Claws extend from my fingertips and I leap at the officer.*Munch munch munch*I slurp at the blood."Ah, thats refreshing"I head out of the woods and continue down the mountain.*Bang*I look down to see a hole in my chest.The blood stains my fur."Urg"I dash away from the men and continue down the mountain.I finally reach the town at the bottom of the mountain.All of the townspeople are inside their homes."Perfect, like unwrapping a present"I walk over to the first house and knock on the door.The door opens and a man walks out."Hey, im wounded and I need shelter"The man lets me stay with his family for the night.(Later that night)I leave the guest room and head towards the kitchen."I can smell them, One of them is in the kitchen"I enter the kitchen and see the man cooking.I extend my claws and decapitate him.A tasty meal for me.The man's child enters the room."Oh good, dessert"*Chomp*Police officers swarm the house.I break out the window and run towards the mountain.Multiple bullets rip through my chest.I fall to the ground, a pool of blood forms around me.A man walks up to me, holding a metal rod.He readys his attack."Welp, karma is a real pain in the..."*Stab*(2017 AC)"Hey Draq, want to go to the arcade later""Sorry, i'll be busy then"My name is Draq, and im a first year at Yurashi Highschool.My parents died a while ago, so Im living by myself.Every day I take a trip up the mountain to visit their grave.I head up towards the mountain, using the usual path I take.(Later)"Well, time to go"I start heading back down the mountain."Thats strange"A small cave lay inside of the woods."That wasn't there before"I head inside the dark cave."Its too dark"I turn on my flashlight and I see a large stone with markings on it.A hand print marking is in the middle."It looks like my hand will fit"I place my hand on the marking, it fits.The markings light up a light blue colour.Then returns to stone."Aww, I guess it doesn't do anything"I exit the cave and head back home.(That night)The moon is full, not a creature is stirring.Wait am I using the same shameless Christmas joke again...?A small light blue light enters the room.I get up out of bed when I see it.More lights form around the first one.The light turns grey and gets bigger.The light forms into a body.A wolf-man stands in front of me."It was you who awakened me, wasn't it"The wolf-man walks over to the window."So, is this like a genie thing, will you grant me a wish"*I don't like this kid*"What kind of wish"*He's gonna stay something stupid isn't he*"You'd be my butler""Absolutely not"*Sigh*"But, because you did summon me, I will be your protector"Draq seems out of it."Will you call me master""No"(The next day)"What do I call you, do you have a name"The sun begins to rise."Call me spirit" *Oh, before I forget*light forms around my body, when it disappears, my body has changed.I look more like a human now.My hair is grey, and I have wolf ears and a tail."Better"I leave the house with Draq and head towards school."Hey Spirit, what if anyone sees you""You awakened me, only you can see me"A deer leaps onto the street.*Ah*I leap at the deer, claws extended.I chomp into the deers neck.*Crunch**Munch munch*Draq looks like hes seen a wild animal."What?"End of Chapter
