This was the first Star Wars spin-off Film in which we see the rebels getting the Death Star plans. With that the movie was pretty good as we meet new characters and dive into other planets.
The film had a great cast as Felicity Jones portrayed the main character Jyn Erso with Diego Luna portraying Cassian Andor. Both of them did amazing as they were both fun and interesting characters with Jyn being the one who is trying to escape her past while Cassian is the one who has a questionable past due to his time being a soldier. Ben Mendelsohn as the antagonist Orson Krennic was a great choice as Mendelsohn is an amazing actor, especially playing great villains. Side characters who stole the show was K2SO, Chirrut portrayed by Donnie Yen, and Baze. But the one who fully stole the show was Darth Vader, even with his little screen time his scenes were just memorable.
The film had a great story showing the rebellion in its early days hesitant to start a war due to being quite small at the time. The battle and action scenes were epic. CGI on Grand Moff Tarkin to bring Peter Crushing back from the dead wasn't bad. It worked for what they were trying for. I also liked how it leads to a New Hope.
My flaw is that I wish we'd get to see more of the characters as Chirrut, well all the side characters as they were such great characters. Basically I don't like that they just killed the whole cast. I wish they didn't kill everyone that way we can see more of them in maybe a future spin-off film or they can be explained more in the Canon Stories.
But other than that, Rogue One was a beautifully made Str Wars film. I do highly recommend it if you just love everything about Star Wars.
