23. Crap problems and other catastrhopes

When Harry and Severus left the great hall, they heard excited voices behind them. Apparently, everything concerning the spouses was the stuff of heated discussions.
However, severus had very different questions and he decided to put some of them to his young partner:

Harry looked at the Potions master with wide eyes. It always surprised him when someone, especially an adult, took such consideration of him. It was not often that he was asked about his wishes .

During Harry's explanation, the two had arrived at their apartment. Fawkes and Hedwig immediately settled on their new perch and started cleaning themselves. Harry put the gifts he had brought - and reduced - on the coffee table and then sat down in one of the sofas.
Severus had watched the whole thing, but his thoughts were still with what his partner had just told him. The little one's knowledge was really incredible, especially since he did not have it from books like Ms. Granger, but through experience.
Now he knew why Dobby could speak so well, Harry had simply taught him a foreign language.
It was no wonder that the magical creatures loved the little cat like this.
Severus pulled a blanket out of a cupboard and placed it over Harry, who had now laid himself down more comfortably. Then he sat down and watched his husband. He was about to arrange his limbs, especially the bewitched tail, which brought him again and again to soft cursing.
When he finally made it, the Potions master looked up at bright green eyes.

'Yeah, how can you make me feel like a stammering teenager when I see you with those slanted ears?' Of course, Severus said something quite different.
"I hope I'm not kicking you too close, but I feel like Mr. Weasley and Ms.Granger does not really know you. If an outsider sees you like this, he would never think you are the best of friends. What happened?"
Contrary to Severus' apprehension, Harry did not seem to be offended by his statement at all.

She apparently thinks I did it out of love for her. But maybe that will change now. "
Severus was not so sure about that, but he did not want to scare his cat. besides, the kid looked like he was about to fall asleep, so the Potions Master decided to let him sleep a little longer until meeting the twins.
Even before he had finished the thought, he heard deep, even breathing. He reached back to Harry's potions book and leaned back comfortably on the sofa.
