Ayami felt the large thin dress exposed by someone tugging at the strings. The people were straightforward this time as needles in her back pierced her skin. Something was wrong. She hadn't gotten her usual pills before they did this.

This time the pain was unbearable making her shriek and thrash with the energy she had left she felt sick to her stomach and felt the burning liquid enter her back slowly. She started throwing up feeling the stinging sensation across her throat. Ayami felt exhausted and heavy but she still felt the presence of the people in her room.

For the first time in months she had the strong urge to kill everyone in the room. She hadn't felt this feeling for a long time and now it was rapidly bubbling to the surface.

Her body began pulling against the restraints as she screamed at the people who approached her to calm down. She felt another needle poke her on her neck this time immediately paralyzing her and her body. Her ragged breath came to a slow steady pace as she smelt the musty air.

Ayami felt relief when she pulled on the chains. They came undone like it was nothing. Unfortunately, to her luck she pulled on her hands first making her crash into the floor with all her weight. She heard a number of gasps when she lay still for a couple of seconds. She smiled and chuckled lowly as she pulled on the chains of her feet collapsing easily. Ayami pulled herself together as she heard the sound of large guns being loaded and most likely facing her.

With her slender hands, she used all her strength to pull the blindfold off. The brightness of the room hit her like a train. She closed and opened her eyes repetitively trying to adjust to the light.

As she got more used to the light, she looked around observing her surroundings. She saw men and women surrounding her with white lab coats and masks and symbols on their chest showing whatever company they worked for. She felt the emptiness of the room as everything became quiet. The only thing you could here was the panting from Ayami and the accelerating heart beats of everyone else. She started to collapse only slower this time from the exhaustion. Suddenly, right when she felt drowsy, she jumped with surprise as the alarms rang.

'Damn it. It's to loud in here!' She thought as she tried covering her ears while still laying on the ground. She tried drowning it out but unfortunately people started screaming to her luck. She looked around with heavy eyelids as the people fell in pools of their own blood around her. She felt a wave of powerful nen in the room as the screaming faded. She recognized the nen of her brother. The brother she shared the womb with and the brother who was her other half.

Ayami had finally passed out as soon as she saw Illumi. When he finally looked in her direction he saw her laying down resting peacefully. He almost couldn't control the emotions he felt but stayed to himself as his grandfather and father entered the room. Illumi cradled Ayami in his arms, with peace in mind that he knew she was alive. Silva looked at his daughter with pride seeing as she still was alive this whole time. He knew that with her return home, she would restore the peace they had once had. Zeno was overjoyed, not only in Ayami being alive but with the thought that he would have some company in their long forgotten garden.

Illumi gently picked her up with more ease than he anticipated. She had grown extremely light due to the malnutrition during her time there. Together, they made their way back home to the mountain. At the entrance, Illumi felt the gaze of unbelief from the gatekeeper as he held the thin girl close to his chest. Father opened all seven gates easily, letting in Illumi first. They slowly made their way to the mansion discussing what to do next. Zeno offered to only let Kyoko and Milluki  know about Ayami until she was in a stable enough condition. As they entered the mansion, Silva ordered the butlers to make sure the others didn't know of Ayami's presence at the mansion, not wanting to risk over exposure to any sickness in her already weak state.

Illumi didn't feel like leaving his sister's side so he volunteered to stay with her until she woke up. Some of the female butlers quickly and carefully washed and dressed her in some clean clothes that were washed as soon as she began washing. They fit her loosely because of all the weight she lost but it still was better than nothing. Illumi sat on her bed, staring at nothing until he felt her shift a little. He decided to take in all her new changes. She was still the same height but thinner like him. Her hair became longer as well possibly to her knees. Ayami's skin was paler and her bones were visible too.

Illumi sighed as he saw her rest. He wondered what she had endured during that time or how she would react to the changes. Life had been different and maybe it would be to much for her to handle. He knew Ayami was strong minded but he didn't want to push her too fast. It scared him to think that she might not even remember anyone or anything at all. Illumi closed his eyes letting himself not get worked up on these questions.

He opened his eyes again when he felt Ayami stirring a lot in her sleep. She was beginning to wake up and Illumi could only wait until she was fully awake.

As her dark eyes met his, Ayami's eyes filled with tears of relief and joy to see Illumi. She went into a hug sobbing into his right shoulder. Illumi let the embrace happen even hugging her back. He felt himself smile a bit as she cried and laughed at the same time. No words were needed to be spoken at the moment . Everything was just the way it needed to be.
