This is a new topic posted on 2019/3/5. This number will only mean something to those who have been following this book from the beginning. Yes, it has been a while.
Anyway, on to the topic.
Pick a species of creature that is in your story. According to the science in your story, how has the creature evolved and how will it evolve in the future?
This might be an interesting exercise if you are planning on writing a history of your world (for yourself or for your audience). Even dragons. How have dragons come into existence? How will they evolve? Or elves or faeries or something you made up.
As an example:
In my novel, one of my novels, there are these creatures called Halfhumans.
They are part animal and part Human.
The way they came to be was when Humans invaded the world of anthros, humans integrated with anthros until most anthros became extinct and were replaced with Halfhumans. That is how Halfhumans came about.
Human genes are also stronger than anthro genes, so at this rate, Halfhumans may become extinct although it will take hundreds of years for that to happen.
Now, tell me yours :)
