If Tomorrow Never Comes [IN PROGRESS]

Chapter 14

I woke up to the sound of voices. Familiar voices. "Claire? Leon?" They both looked over at me and Leon came and sat at the edge of the bed "Hey, you feeling any better?" I nod "Yeah, a bit. It doesn't hurt when I sit up so I hope it doesn't hurt when I walk" I see Claire looking down at her feet. They're hiding something "What's going on?" Leon looked at me  "What do you mean?" "You and Claire you both are acting weird. What aren't you telling me?"

Leon looked down guiltily "Y/n, you've been out for almost 3 hours" I looked at him "W-what?" "We didn't wake you because you needed the rest" I still look shocked "Ok. Have you made any progress?" He nods "Yeah, we've gotten wristbands to get us in and out of places and I managed to get the only anti-virus sample" "That's good news, now we can get out of here" Leon nods "Yeah we can. But first I want to make sure you can walk without being in pain"

I stand up and walk to the door and back "I seem fine for now, I just hope I can manage the whole journey" Leon chuckles

(Time Skip)

I stop Leon and Claire from walking further. They look at me confused "Shh, do you hear that?" I whisper. They shake their head no "Voices. And they seem close" I peak my head around the corner to see two women. One looks familiar. "Ada?" I whisper. But who's the other woman with her. I see the woman take out a gun and aim it at Ada

Without thinking, I take out my gun and run to cover Ada. "Y/N NO!" I hear Leon and Claire scream, but I don't let it stop me. As I reach Ada I try push her out of the way before a bullet can reach her but I'm too late. I aim my gun at the other woman and cock it but lower it again. She immediately lowers her weapon. I keep my gun raised just in case she tries to shoot "Who are you?" she looks at me "The names Annette, Annette Birkin"

I walk over to her "So Annette, you're the one we're looking for" I mutter so only she can hear it "What you're gonna do is, you're gonna follow us, tell us what we want to know, then you can leave. Sound good? Great, move!" Annette leads us to a room where we can talk. She turns around "You're not getting the g-virus" She points her gun at glass and shoots. I try to catch her as she runs but she was too quick

I walk back over to the group "Did anyone get hurt?" "Yeah. Ada's hurt" oh shit. I grab my herbs from my hip pouch and run over to her. I take off my jacket and apply it to the wound. "Claire, Leon, can you sort out the herbs while I keep the jacket on the gun shot?" They nod "Yeah sure. Give them here" I hand them the herbs and fully tend to the wound "Hey, Ada, can you hear me?"

I see her wince a little "Ada, it's ok. Stay with me" She's still conscious which is good "Those herbs ready?" I ask "Yeah" Leon nods "Ok, we're gonna have to do this fast. Claire, you hold the jacket" She nods and replaces the hold I had "Leon, I need you to shine the torch on the wound. When I say so, Claire you'll decrease the pressure enough for me to put the herbs in the wound"

They nod. Before we could do anything, Ada spoke up. "Will it hurt?" I shake my head "No it won't hurt. It soothes the pain as soon as it goes in" I hold her hand "Don't worry, you'll be fine" I nod to Leon to tell him to get the torch in place "Claire, slowly decrease the pressure" I grab the mixed herbs and spread them into the wound

"Ok, all done" I place a hand on Ada's shoulder "Hey, ada, can you hear me?" She wasn't responding and her eyes were closed "Shit" I wrap her wound back up "Leon, can you carry her back to the room I was in?" "Yeah sure" I gather up all my stuff and follow Leon back to the room

(Time Skip)

"You and Claire can go on ahead. I'll stay with Ada" Leon looks at me "Are you sure?" I nod "Yeah. Claire doesn't know Ada, and I doubt Claire and J would get far without you. We can't leave her on her own" Leon nods "If you're sure" I stand up and kiss his cheek "I'm sure" Leon chuckles and heads off with Claire

I look over to Ada and see that the jacket I gave as a temporary bandage has almost soaked through. I look around and spot a few spare from when I was shot. I go get them and head over to Ada. I take off the jacket and replace it with the bandages

I hear her wince "Ada, can you hear me?" "Y-y/n?" "Hey, you're gonna be ok" "W-what happened?" I put my hand on her arm "You were shot" "By who?" I sigh "By Annette Birkin" "Bitch" I nod "Yeah she is" "Hey, where's Claire and Leon?" "They went on to find the g-virus and to have a chat with Annette" "Thank you" "Hey, its no problem. I know how it feels. I was shot in the side. Although it was by an accident"

I stand up "Get some rest. I'm not going anywhere so if you need anything, just call me" She nods and I leave to go into the other room

I'm so sorry it took so long to get this chapter up. I had to re write it. I wasn't happy with it for ages. also, I'm sorry if I don't follow along with the actual story, I will trail on and off sometimes with the story line  ❤️
