Leon had told me to check out the alleyways. Of course I was scared because it was dark, there are zombies around and I just don't trust alleyways. But I did it anyway because I need to check for survivors. I take out my flashlight and gun. I walk into the alleyway quietly just incase there is anybody in there. "Ugh god" I mutter. It's such a mess here. God knows what happened here

I walk further into the alleyway and hear rustling. I turn to where I hear it to be met with a little girl cowering in the corner. I walk closer to her "Hey what's your name?" She doesn't answer me "It's ok, I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm here to save you" She comes out a little "M-my name is Sherry" She doesn't say anything after that. I need her to trust me "My name is Y/n and my partners Leon and Claire are over there" I pointed to roughly where they are. "You'll be safe if you come with us"

Sherry crawls out of where she was "I need to find my mom" The poor kid "If you tell me her name, I'll try find her" she looks down before talking again "H-her names Annette. S-she works with Umbrella" Oh my god "Ok Sherry, we'll find your mom" I put out my hand to let sherry hold it "Hey you're freezing" "I-I'm not that cold"

I take off my jacket and wrap it around her "Here, you can have mine" She smiles a little "Thank you" I nod. Sherry and I start walking back to the others "Leon, Claire" I call "Yeah?" I hear Leon call from the distance and I see Claire coming over to me "We have a survivor" "Be right there" I kneel down to Sherry's height "You ok?" She nods "Yeah, just a little scared" "Yeah me too"

Claire comes over to us "Nobody in the houses but I did get some supplies. Who's the kid?" She hides behind me a little "Her names Sherry, found her in the corner of the alleyway" Claire nods as I talk. She knelt down to Sherry "Hi Sherry, my names Claire" Sherry's voice is quiet "Hi Claire" I see Leon come back over to us, he looks at the three of us "Any luck Claire?" she shakes her head "No, but I got supplies for us" he nods and looks to Sherry then me. I gotta tell him about her

I look over to Claire "Hey Claire, can you take Sherry over there and clean up her wounds and make sure she's ok" Claire nods "Sure thing. come on Sherry" She was hesitant at first but I reassured her "It's ok Sher, you can come right back when Claire's done" She let's go and follows Claire. Once they were out of earshot I tell Leon about her

"I found her cowering in the corner of the alleyway, names Sherry Birkin. Yes before you say it, she is Annette Birkin's daughter" Leon looked at me shocked "I suppose that means we have to look for Annette" I nod "Probably, but that'd lead us right back to the big dude" Leon chuckles "The big dude? you know you can use his name Y/n" I laugh "I know but I prefer saying the big dude"

Leon shakes his head and smiles "So what's the plan?" I sigh "I have no idea. Unless we head back anyway and if we have to, defeat both Annette and tyrant, although that would be putting the kid in danger but there's no other option" Leon agrees "Yeah, sadly it's the only option" I look over to Sherry and Leon speaks up "The poor kid looks traumatised. There has to be another option"

I look at Leon "Maybe there is" "Yeah? go for it" "You won't be happy with it but just listen. Because she trusts me, I could take her somewhere safe. You and Claire could go find Annette, do what you have to do and then come back. Sherry wouldn't have to see anymore shit because she wouldn't be able to handle it" Leon looks at me again "Y/n you know how I feel about leaving you alone" He says holding my hand

I sigh "I know but there's no other option is there? I'll be safe, I've got a gun, bullets, herbs and a radio incase I need to contact you" He's still unsure "Ok, how about I go over to sherry, you and Claire can talk it out and then decide?" He nods his head "Yeah ok. Get Claire to come over and we can go over the plan" I look at Leon shocked that he's actually letting me follow out the plan.

I walk over to Claire and sherry "Hey Claire, Leon wants to talk to you" She nods and heads off to him. I kneel down to sherry "You ok?" she nods "Yeah I feel a lot better" I smile "That's good. You'll be sticking with me for the time being. My partners are going to try find your mom and I'm staying with you keeping you safe" she smiles "Thank you so much Y/n" I smile "You're welcome Sherry"

Ok, I know this chapter is long overdue but here it is. because we're coming into the last few, I'm breaking them up. also hope you guys liked it. sorry it isn't as long as what I'd used to write. I'll be back tomorrow with another update
