Double Trouble: The Salvatore Twins Damon and Diana

12. She's back

The night was dark, the moon was large and bright and the leaves on the green trees in Mystic Falls were rustling ever so quietly. Nobody could see the gorgeous brunette with long ringlets in her hair sneaking through town. Nobody could here the muffled scream of an innocent teenage boy having his neck ripped into. Nobody seamed to notice the boy having his blood sucked out and nobody found his body, because Katherine Pierce was one of the baddest vampires that ever lived, and she was damn good at being one.

Katherine Pierce stood outside Whitmore College scoping the area. She walked through the campus and into the area where hundreds of dorms stood. She pushed her way through late night college stragglers cramming for last minute exams and tests, students passed out on stairs from studying or drinking. She made her way to the outside of a dorm door, she stood silently and listened, no noise arose from inside the dorm, and she sneakily pushed it opened. Elena, Caroline and Bonnie slept soundlessly, she snuck inside and grabbed a few things out of Elena's closet and rolled her eyes at most of her clothes. Within a second later she was gone, Caroline stirred in her bed, 'Elena? Bonnie?' she called out

'Ugh, what?' Elena called back

'I thought I heard something' she whispered

'Shhhhh' Bonnie moaned from her bed.

'D' Diana called from upstairs in the Salvatore house, 'where are you'

Damon sulked slightly on the lounge downstairs nursing another glass of bourbon in his hand.

'There you are' Diana smirked stepping into the lounge and taking the glass of bourbon from her twin brother and drinking it all.

'Hey get your own Diana!' Damon snapped jumping up from the lounge and snatching the glass out of her hand, he sighed and walked over to the bar table to refill it yet again.

'What is your problem Damon?' Diana asked 'I came down to ask for us to go out tonight, have some fun but you've been moping ever since I got home earlier'

'Look, I'm glad you're back Diana but you've been causing trouble ever since you arrived, and I really like Elena and you're making it really clear that you don't want me with her. What even is your problem with her? You don't even know her!' Damon replied

'It's just she looks like Katherine, it's weird' Diana replied sheepishly

'No, it's not weird. They're both doppelgängers and they're both completely different people, Elena is better than Katherine. Anyway, you should know their doppelgängers because if I'm not mistaken aren't you and Katherine so called "best friends"?' Damon questioned

'Who told you that? Elena did, didn't she? We all used to be friends with Katherine, so what?' Diana snapped

'She's a bad influenced and it's clearly showing'

Diana's phone started to ring; she glared at Damon and left the room.

'Hello?' she answered

'Hey Diana, it's Katherine'

'Oh' Diana muttered 'what do you want?'

'I'm in town and I want to see you obviously' Katherine responded

'You were in town like the other day though' Diana replied feeling confused

'No, I wasn't. What are you talking about Diana?'

'What are you talking about Kat, you were in Mystic Falls the other day and we talked'

'Ugh, God Diana, that was obviously Elena Gilbert pretending to be me, and you fell for it! I thought you would know how I act by now'

'Well, she was being very rude so I thought it was you! Now what do you want?' Diana snapped

'Fine! Look, I just need to know what's been going on in town that's all, like what are Damon and Elena up to?'

'Why do you care? And more importantly why should I even tell you? We haven't been the best of friends lately'

'Diana, please just tell me' Katherine pleaded

'Fine, Elena and Damon are sort of taking a break at the moment, but they both like each other' Diana explained

'Perfect, thanks Diana' Katherine remarked hanging up quickly.

Diana rolled her eyes and made her way back into the house, 'come on Damon are you ready to go?' she yelled

'Where are we going?' Damon replied appearing next to her suddenly

'Out, for fun. Please I need it' Diana frowned

Damon thought she generally looked sad and agreed to go with her to make sure she didn't get into too much trouble.
