"Hello?" I said shakily.

"Y/N! Are you okay?" John asked quickly.

"Yeah. Did you hear they found out?"

"By the millions of emails asking me for an interview, I presumed."

"Are you still okay going in public with me?"

"Is that even a question?" He asked. I could see his eyebrow raise through the screen. I laughed.

"I guess not."

"I'll come over and we can talk. Are- Are you okay with me coming over, I mean we've only been on two dates, three if you count our coffee shop encounter."

"Of course I'm fine with that, just bring Petunia."

TIME SKIP- CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

I opened the door the second it knocked. It reminded me of our first date, which wasn't very long ago, a week, but it still felt nostalgic. John looked down at me and I immediately hugged him. It was a first hug, which was dumb. He smelt of cologne and shaving cream. I didn't want to let go. He hugged back after a moments hesitation, and after that it just felt normal. He let go first, making me feel embarrassed

"Are you going to let me in?" He teased with a slight smirk.

"Yeah, Yeah."  I shook my head. I led him into the living room, Petunia was jumping all over the couch. "Hi pretty baby!" I exclaimed. It was my first time meeting her and I'd her so much about her. Let me tell you, everything John says about her is true. She was flat faced, a puppy, but grumbled to herself like a grandma

"You seem more excited meeting her than me!" John laughed. I stuck my tonge out at him as I grabbed Petunia. "So. The press isn't bothering you?"

"It's the people, not the press."

"What people?"

"Katie."

"God damn Katie." He breathed, acting as if he knew her. I laughed.

"Is it bothering you?"

"I've dated before, (y/n)"

"Fair."

"Do you want to watch something?"

"Quick subject change."

"I know."

So we ended up fighting over whether to watch Law and Oder SVU or The Good Place. John won and we watched Law and Order. We made popcorn and forgot about our worries as we laughed at Ice T being confused. I smiled and John wrapped his arm around me. I fell asleep minutes after.
