a/n: So originally I actually planned for Yue to have a normal CP wit Fu XI, Ming Yu and Yutian's daughter and really really loved it, especially when I thought how Yutian felt betrayed since he raised a wolf to devour his only daughter lol. But then my rotten side kicked in just before i reached the END and i threw the entire idea way haha.

"He. . . really grew up huh. . ." Yue was eating a thing called 'cake' that Ming Yu was finally able to recreate.

That crybaby little cub name Yu Huang was now 20 and was as tall as him. His face resembled the gentleness of Mother Yu's and his way of speech was tender, a bit similar to Ming Yu's.

If Yue was the warm, dependable big brother type, Yu Huang would be the calm, adult type who has a gentle side. He wasn't overly friendly yet kind, not talkative but wasn't quiet.

There was no trace of that child who would run into his arms and cry, or confide him about his tiny problems every time.

Was he really not that dependable anymore. . .

"What am I talking about. . . he just grew up." Yeah. He should be happy he didn't need to babysit him.

Out of all the cubs, Yue really doted on the weak-willed Yu Huang more.

KNOCK. KNOCK.

"Are you ready?" His Father, Yutian, came in to check up on him who was packing his stuff for the trip.

"Yu Huang?"

"He's waiting for you outside." Yutian took out a list and handed some money over to him. "All that we needed are listed here. Here's the money and buy whatever you want with the rest."

They were heading to the big city to restock on house supplies. It was a city that was under Li Hui Tian's domain so they felt more at ease to be under the laws of Yutian's former master.

It was decided that he and Yu Huang would take a trip there often since they were the most reliable when it comes to staying away from trouble.

"Yue-ge, do you have everything with you?"

"Yeah, we can go now."

Ming Yu walked infront of the two and pulled them down for a tight hug. "Take care. . . have a safe trip. . . come home soon. . ."

"We will." Dad was as warm as ever.

With a wave of their hands, the two journeyed on.

Since leaving and entering the forest wasn't a problem all that mattered was how to reach the town. This was Yu Huang's first time entering the big city so Yue wanted to give him more time to explore and decided to switch between their beast forms which was a lot faster or their human forms to fly in the air. In just a short 4 days they will be able to reach there.

They were camping out the night and were sitting before a campfire.

"Huang-di, do you want to ask about the town?" A little chat was good.

"I think it'll be good to surprise myself for my first time." He smiled and handed Yue a blanket since it was a bit chilly tonight.

Yu Huang took out a book from his luggage and started to read. It was what he liked doing the most whenever there was silence around him. The book in his hand was what Yue bought for him the last time he went to town. He wasn't sure if it was good, but he could never forget to buy Yu Huang a souvenir whenever he go visit.
