haewon

"haewon-ah, haewon," a voice said while shaking my shoulder slightly, waking me up. it was then i realized that we were in jeju! but it was then when i also realized... i slept on jisoo's shoulder... what the fuck?

i heard hyungwon snickering from behind. i looked behind, and i saw him laughing at something on his phone. "why are you laughing?" i asked in a groggy voice.

he showed me his phone and started laughing when he saw my reaction. i felt my face burn up in embarrassment. why did you have to take a picture of that, hyungwon?

he took a stolen picture of me sleeping on jisoo's shoulder while jisoo was reading a book in the picture. how could jisoo not see hyungwon taking a picture of us? ugh.

i rolled my eyes and turned back to my seat. "fuck you." i mouthed jokingly, which made him laugh even more. i crossed my arms and pouted in annoyance because of hyungwon.

"why the long face?" jisoo asked when he noticed my face.

"shut up." i said.

"thank you, dear passengers for choosing our airlines." the pilot spoke. "we have now arrived in jeju-do island, 8:17 AM. please wait for the doors to open and enjoy your destination!"

surprisingly, it was really cold in jeju and it was a bit snowy. my dad rented us a van in jeju, and my dad was driving to my aunt's house, where we were all staying for the trip. we were going to spend christmas along with new year here, so we needed a cozy place to stay in.

after around thirty minutes of driving, we arrived at my aunt's house. she was living with my grandma, my uncle (my aunt's husband), my cousins (three of them), and their dog.

i smiled widely, as i got out the car and rang the doorbell to my aunt's house. after a few seconds, the door opened, revealing my cousin.

i gasped as i saw him. it's been so long since i saw him, too. "seungkwan!" i exclaimed as i hugged him.

"hello, noona!" he said. "where's hyungwon hyung and auntie and uncle?" he asked.

"ah, they're there! you see them?" i asked as i pointed to them, who were unpacking stuff out of the van.

"hyungwon hyung!" he said as he waved.

"hi, seungkwan!" he said back.

jisoo came up to me and smiled at seungkwan. "hello." he said.

"who's that, noona?"

"oh, that's jisoo. he's the son of my mom's best friend." i said. "jisoo, seungkwan. seungkwan, jisoo."

they shook their hands and bowed to eachother. "c'mon, let's go in. grandma cooked us some rice cakes!" he said.

we all went in the house, and seungkwan's mother and my grandma were there, in the living room. "ah, hello, haewon!" auntie said. "you look so different! so beautiful!"

i chuckled lightly. "thanks, auntie." i said. "where's seungjin unnie and seungyung unnie?" i asked.

"ah, seungyung is out with her friends while seungjin is sleeping upstairs." grandma said. she was talking about seungkwan's sisters. "now, i made some cheesy rice cakes."

"oh, hello." aunt said, as she noticed jisoo beside me. "who is this lovely gentleman, dear?" she asked.

"ah, hello." jisoo said, bowing. "i'm jisoo."

"ooh, is he your boyfriend?" grandma asked. before i could answer, she spoke again. "ne careful with boys, you never know what's gonna happen. but he looks good for you. make sure use protection when you-"

"okay, okay, grandma. that's enough." i said, embarrassed. i looked at jisoo and he felt the same uncomfort, scratching the back of his neck. "he's not my boyfriend. he's just the son of mom's best friend."

"oh, sorry. anyway, speaking of your mom, where are the rest of your family?" grandma asked.

"they're unpacking the bags off the car." i said, pointing outside. as if on cue (again), they all walked in with luggage.

"hello, eomma!" my mom said.

"hello, auntie." my dad and my brother said.

"hello." jisoo's mom said, bowing.

"hyungwon!" my aunt said, grabbing his attention. "is that you? you look so handsome! how did you both turn out such beautiful and handsome children?"

hyungwon and i looked at eachother and chuckled. suddenly, i heard jisoo, who was beside me, mumble something. i shrugged it off as i headed to the kitchen to get some rice cakes.

"haewon, i got you a little room upstairs. it has two beds, maybe you can sleep there with your boyf-"

"okay, grandma. thank you." i said, cutting her off before she could continue what she says. "and again, we're not dating."

"well you should." grandma snapped back, as i awkwardly stuffed a rice cake in my mouth.

"hyungwon! eat some food here!" my aunt said.

hyungwon stood up from the couch and went to get some food. my mom was talking to jisoo's mom, while my dad was upstairs in the guest room, unpacking our stuff, and seungkwan was already in his room, playing with his dog.

jisoo, hyungwon, and i were eating the food that grandma cooked us, while our aunt was talking to us and stuff.

"what are you planning to be when you grow up?" she asked.

"hyungwon and i want to be idols." i said. "jisoo and i are studying in the vocal department while hyungwon is studying in the dance."

"ohh. how 'bout you, jisoo?"

"i'm planning to be an idol, too." he replied.

"speaking of idols, did you know that seungkwan is now a trainee in pledis entertainment?" she said.

"pledis entertainment? what's that?" i asked.

"oh, it's an entertainment company that was made in 2007. you know after school? yeah, that's their company." hyungwon replied.

"ohhh, i've always wondered what company after school is in."

"seungkwan was also asked to go in jyp entertainment, but he rejected the offer." grandma said. "when i asked him why he said that he already passed in pledis and didn't want to dodge the oppurtunity."

"that doesn't make sense whatsoever." i said as i shrugged.

"hey haewon," jisoo said. "did you know seungcheol was already a trainee in pledis entertainment since 2010?"

"really? woah, a lot of people i know wants to be idols. sojung and wonwoo also want to be idols."
