"We have to get him back to the academy!" Rowan shouted, her eyes clouded with tears. The blood continued to pour, she didn't think it would stop.

The blood dripped to the floor, staining the wooden panels. Rowan looked up to Diego with tears in her eyes, she needed him to do something, anything. Diego nodded and crouched down to Five.

Rowan pressed a kiss to his forehead before Diego scooped him up. "It's okay Ro, he'll be fine," Allison said as the three rushed out of the house.

Rowan climbed into the car, opening it for Diego who laid Five in the backseat, his head resting on her lap. Rowan grabbed a hold of Five since putting a seat belt on him was no option.

"Please be okay," Rowan mumbled as she brushed his hair away from his face. Allison turned around in her seat to help Rowan secure Five so he wouldn't slide.

Diego raced down the streets, trying his hardest not to cause Five any more pain. Rowan applied as much pressure as she could for the bleeding to stop, but it was no use. The blood drenched his white shirt.

The car slammed to a stop and the three of them immediately unclicked their seatbelts. Rowan waited anxiously as Diego ran to the other side or the car to carry Five inside. Once his head was safely off her lap she rushed out of the car and followed close behind.

She wanted nothing more than for Five to be okay. Rowan ran ahead and began opening the gates for Diego. They stopped for a moment to try to find anyone that could help stitch up Five.

"Where's Mom?" Allison asked, looking around for any sign of her. A faint smell of bacon was in the air and Diego followed it into the kitchen.

"Mom! Help!" Diego yelled as he swung the door open. Grace looked up and gasped at the state Five was in.

"Get him in his room," she ordered as she ran off to get supplies, leaving Allison to turn the fire off to prevent the bacon from burning.

"I'll just take him to your room, you two basically share it," Diego stated as he rushed up the stairs and laid him on Rowan's bed. Allison placed a shoulder on the girl and offered her a sad smile.

"He'll be okay," she assured. Rowan nodded and rubbed at the skin where her tears once streamed down.

Rowan crawled on the bed to accompany Five and offer him support. "Are you sure you want to be here for this?" Grace asked as she lifted the bloody shirt.

"I don't want to leave him alone," Rowan whispered as she watched over Five, her eyes not leaving his closed ones.

Rowan gripped onto his hand with both of hers. She was terrified. She didn't want to lose the love of her life. It was always Rowan and Five, they were the best couple around.

She didn't know what she would do if she would lose him. Rowan placed a kiss on his knuckles as she watched Grace fix his wound.

Grace dug into the wound to retrieve the bullet. She placed the bullet on a nearby tray before disinfecting the area. Rowan couldn't help but be grateful that Five was knocked out, she didn't want him to remember the pain of having Grace dig in his wound for the bullet. Once the area was clean Grace carefully stitched up the wound and wrapped it with a bandage.

Allison and Diego watched from afar, worried for both Five and Rowan. The love the young couple shared was obvious, and everyone knew that they belonged together. Rowan smiled at Grace as she removed her gloves.

"He'll be fine," she announced with a smile, before making her way past Diego and Allison.

Rowan didn't leave his side, instead, she reached over to grab a book from her bedside and made herself comfortable.

"Are you coming with us?" Allison asked, straightening up from leaning against the doorframe. The two stepped closer to Rowan. Rowan shook her head and opened the book to the first page.

"I want to stay with him," she explained, as she began to find a comfortable position. Diego nodded and followed Allison out the door, stopping at the door frame.

"Let me know if you need anything, try not to worry too much okay?" Diego added before walking away.

Rowan pulled a blanket over the two and glanced over to Five. Rowan cleared her throat and began reciting poetry from a book, long gifted to her from Five.

As she continued to recite the words her mind couldn't help but wander away. Her eyes drifted from the page to the boys messy hair. She brushed it down with her fingers as best as she could but it was no use.

"Please don't leave me," she whispered, pushing back her own hair. The room was dead quiet, something Rowan wasn't personally used to.

Rowan usually had Klaus bursting in and Five kicking him out since he was there first. Five has always been her person, they understood each other more than any person they've ever met.

Rowan knew this because she's met other versions of Five, all accidental of course. Although the logical explanation was to just stay in the dimensions where other Five's where she never brought herself to do it. They were never the same. They weren't her Five.

Her Five was the one who promised her every time things were too much for her, that one day he would take her far away from the academy, that way they could live the rest of their lives happy and safe. It's what they both wanted and deserved.

Countless nights were shared between the two. Whether it was Five who sneaked hot chocolates and cookies for Rowan while they sat cross-legged on the floor.

Rosy cheeks visible on both of their faces, both of them dismissing it as just a coincidence since they were both drinking a hot beverage. Skin brushed against each other as they leaned against the bed, a smile on both of their faces as Rowan told Five about her dreams and endeavors.

Five always loved hearing about them, not just because he loved the sound of her voice or the way her face lit up as she voiced her dreams, but because no matter how simple or extravagant the dream was, Five was always included. After all, to Rowan, no dream would be complete without him.

Rowan rubbed her tired eyes. The weight of the world seemed to hang on her eyelids. She struggled to keep them open and simply decided that maybe it was time to attempt to sleep.

Rowan lightly tossed the book on her bedside, scattering the papers and empty cups. She didn't care enough to clean the mess. All she cared about was Five and his recovery.

Rowan changed into her pajamas and joined Five under the covers. She shuffled closer to him as gently as she could, not wanting to cause him any pain or discomfort.

Once she settled, she softly intertwined her hand in his and pressed a kiss to his shoulder before resting her cheek on it. "Goodnight Five," she mumbled.
