*2 days before the first day of 11th grade*
"Wassgood fool whatchu need?" I asked some lil nigga who walked up to me in the hood
He buy weed form me often but I still don't know this lil nigga name. He copped a 8th and as I was weighing his weed my phone rang.

Flashed across my screen. I answered my phone and held it to my ear with my shoulder.
"Yooo" I answered putting lil bruh weed in a bag
I bagged it and he handed me $30 as I handed him his weed.
"You and yo homies slide thru the trap we got business to discuss" he said and hung up
I looked at the phone to make sure I won't tripping. I walked around the block and rounded up the rest of the gang. After that we hopped in the V and drove to the trap at the end of the block.
When we got out the car gangster pits started going crazy. Big ass dog get lose gone get popped on gang. I walked up the three stairs to the porch and knocked on the door. Range opened the door and dapped me up letting us in.
We walked through the nasty ass house all the way to the back where gangster office is. He sat beside his desk so me and Mekhi sat on the couch while the bros stood against the wall.
"Wasspoppin?" He asked
He took us off the block he wasting time. And time is money.
"I know y'all go back to school Monday and shit so yo hours gone get cut. Which means y'all ain't gone be making as much money but I got a proposition for y'all" he said looking at all of us
"What kind of proposition?" Loso asked
"A job. All 5 of y'all working together, at school" he said
"Doing what?" I asked looking at him
Ion fully trust gangster. He be on some sneak shit. I ain't the type to Fox a nigga but I be watching how bruh move.
"I need y'all to protect something a lot more valuable to me than money" he said looking at us very seriously
That type of look you give a nigga to let him know you'll murk his ass with no hesitation.
"What?" Mekhi asked
"My daughter" he said and all of us looked at him shocked
"Ian know you had a daughter" I looked at him confused
"Why would you? She's my responsibility. Not yours" he said
And I mean technically she's our responsibility now too. But I can tell it took a lot for bruh to even open his mouth to ask us some shit like that so I aint gone say nothing.
"It's her first year and Satan got a bounty on my head. And knowing this grimmey ass niggas in the ville they'll do anything to get to me. Protect her with your lives and I promise on my life if anything happen to my daughter I will kill all 5 of y'all" he said with the same seriousness
I don't really want to babysit no damn freshman but shit money is money. And I know how ruthless these streets can be. Itd fuck me up knowing something happened to that girl after he just asked us to protect her.
"We gotchu big dawg" I assured him
"Bet. It's the same pay. And y'all can come by the park tomorrow at 3 to meet her" he said basically dismissing us
"Oh and if y'all need poles or something like that I got y'all" range said as we all stood up
I ain't even say shit I just nodded and we walked out. We went back to the hood and that bitch was jumping when we got back. Like plays everywhere jumping. And it ain't even dark yet.
