Aurora sat in the Gryffindor common room, everyone was buzzing about the up-and-coming tri-wizard tournament and who they thought should enter.
Aurora heard many different people say that Cedric Diggory was going to enter and some said they wanted Thomas Macfoule, a seventh year Ravenclaw, to enter because they claimed he was one of the most skilled students in Hogwarts, however, he was actually the complete opposite and Aurora knew they wanted him to enter just so they had an excuse to stare at his muscles for hours on end.
After having enough of the gossip, Aurora decided to take a walk around the castle in an attempt to find a quiet place to relax. She found a herself at a window seat which, unbeknownst to her, Lily Evans would sit at for at least half an hour a day.
Aurora pulled out the book she was reading previously from her pocket and was about to read it when something caught her eye. In one of the bricks there were two small carvings. One of which was LE + NB and the other, which was beneath it, SB + RH. Aurora furrowed her eye brows as she flicked through her mind to see who's initials they could be.
Lily Evans and Nova Black stood hand in hand as they watched Aurora. Lily's eyes began to water as the memories of her and Nova at Hogwarts flooded into her mind. Nova noticed her fiancées crying and wiped her tears away "Hey, hey, what's wrong?"
Aurora's head snapped away from the carvings when she heard people speaking, however, when she looked around, there was no one in sight. Aurora furrowed her eyebrows, once again, as she continued to hear the talking.
"Oh, it's nothing" Lily dismissed as she wiped the remaining wetness from her face "just old memories of us resurfacing is all"
"Hello?" Aurora called out. She'd looked down the other corridors but there was no one in sight which really confused her.
It was Nova who noticed Aurora was acting strangely. Nova nudged Lily in Aurora's direction and the two had a wordless exchange on what to do. They remember Rosie going through a similar thing only it happened to Rosie when she was seventeen, the age certain powers would occur. It was lilywho tested her theory first by saying "hello?"
Aurora's head whipped to where Nova and Lily we're standing. She could feel someone there but she just couldn't see them.
"Let me try something" Nova whispered to Lily. She then walked towards Aurora who was still staring suspiciously at where Nova was previously standing. Nova put her hand out and gently placed it onto Aurora's shoulder.
Aurora's hands flowed a bright, vibrant orange and, just like that, Nova and Lily became visible to her. Aurora let out a small, startled scream as the two women appeared out of, seemingly, nowhere. "Sh, sh, sh" Lily said quickly. Aurora calmed down a but but was still confused as to who these people in front of her were. She knew she recognised them but she could remember where "w-who are you?" she asked.
Lily and Nova shared look, unable to decide whether or not Rosie would want her to find out. Nova inhaled deeply and began speaking despite the consequences, just as she would before she died.
"I'm Nova, this is Lily" Lily gave an awkward wave from behind Nova. Suddenly, it all became clear to Aurora who the people in front of her were, they were her aunts. Rosie used to tell stories about the amazing adventures that the two went on before they died and, when she was a little older, how badass their deaths were.
"hold on, if you're dead, how come I can see you?"
