Later in the day, everyone was called to the great hall to announce the participants of the tri-wizard tournament. Everyone took a seat as Dumbledore walked in.
"Now the moment you've all been waiting for! The champion selection!"
Dumbledore raised his arm and began dining all of the fires to create a more intense atmosphere. Aurora, who was sat next to Harry, made a mental not to attempt that later when she was on her own.
Dumbledore to slow strides up to the goblet with his arm still raised, he then touched the goblet and the blue flame became red.
The fire produced a small price of parchment "the champion from Durmstrang; mister Viktor Krum!" Krum was congratulated by his peers and walked up to the front so everyone could see him
It then spat out a blue piece of paper which Dumbledore read from.
"From Beuxbatons Academy; miss Fleur Delacour!"
Everyone clapped for Fleur as she walked up to the front of the hall for everyone to see her.
"And the Hogwarts champion is: Cedric Diggory!"
The great hall was at the loudest it had been that day as Cedric walked up to the front of the hall. Once he shook Dumbledore's hand, he sent a smile to Aurora. She knew how exited he was for this tournament and she was happy that he had been a champion.
Dumbledore turned round to face everybody as he yelled "excellent! Now we have our three champions. But, in the end, there can only be one who will go down in history. Only one will hoist the chalice of champions, this vessel of victory; the tri-wizard cup!"
Dumbledore made a quick turn and pointed his finger at the tri-wizard cup. The sheet that was covering the cup, flew off to reveal a glowing blue trophy. Aurora had to admit, the trophy was absolutely beautiful. Lily and Nova stood behind Aurora and watched as she looked at the cup in amazement, Harry doing the same.
Suddenly, the goblet of fire began turning red again, signifying it had another piece of paper to spit out. The small piece of paper flew out from the goblet and fell into Dumbledore's hand.
"Harry Potter?" Dumbledore said to himself. Lily, Aurora and Nova had confused looks on their faces, they were unsure as to why there was to be a fourth champion.
"Harry Potter?" Dumbledore asked again, this time louder so the entire hall could hear. Harry lowered himself into his chair as much as possible. At the head of the hall, Hagrid was muttering to himself saying things like 'no' and 'he's too young'
"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore yelled
"come on, Harry" Hermione said, she and Aurora helped Harry to his feet and he began walking shakily over to the other champions.
By now, Aurora wasn't surprised, she knew something like this would happen, it was just a a matter of time. If she was being honest, she was expecting Harry to be chosen first despite not putting his name in. Harry's life being in danger seemed to be a recurring event.
As Harry was walking up to the head of the hall, Ron gave him one of the dirtiest looks he could muster. Fabian, who sat next to Ron, silently questioned his expression. He didn't know why Ron was angry or upset when Harry looked scared for his life. Lily still had her hand over her mouth from the shock of hearing her son's name being called out, she just wanted him to have one normal year of education.
Dumbledore handed Harry the smoking piece of paper and stared at him as he walked to the other champions. As he walked, students were shouting after him.
"He's a cheat!"
"He's not even seventeen yet!"
Aurora cast a silent spell which glued the students' lips together.
Most of the teacher's gave Harry sorry looks, especially McGonnagal.
