Later that day, Aurora decided she wanted to get to know more about Alexander. It only seemed right seeing as he was transported to her the second he died.

She decided to take Alexander to a place in the castle where she knew almost nobody would find her.

"So, tell me about yourself Alex"

Alexander began telling her basic things about himself such as his favourite colour (pink), his middle name (Roman, after his father), and his favourite board game (draughts). It was just typical run-of-the-mill things but Alexander was glad he finally had a friend with whom he could share these things with.

His whole life he'd been surrounded by some of the most toxic people but they were the only people he'd ever known, being with Aurora was refreshing and relieving.

Alexander and Aurora both studied each other, taking in every detail of the other person. Alexander noticed that Aurora would twirl a curl at the end of her hair around her index finger every so often and Aurora noticed that Alexander would pull the cuffs of his jumper over his hands and then nibble on it. They both had their habits.

Hermione was wandering the halls reading a book she was studying for charms. It was part of her 'light reading' for the day despite the book being 800 pages long. She turned a corner and heard someone talking.

"You know, I really like your hair. It's fluffy"

It was Aurora

However, it didn't seem as though she was talking to anyone, but then, she let out a laugh. To Hermione, Aurora was talking to herself.

Hermione walked towards Aurora's voice when she saw her sitting on the floor with a smile on her face, seemingly looking into thin air. Hermione walked as slow and as quietly as possible.

"Aura?" Hermione finally said

Aurora's head snapped in Hermione's direction and she quickly stood up and put her hands behind her back. Alexander did too.

"Who are you talking to?" Hermione asked. Aurora's eyes were wide, she didn't know how to reply; it's not as if she could just tell her that she was speaking to this random ghost boy that appeared in her room last night.

However, Aurora then remembered that they go to a school of magic where one of the teachers was a ghost.

Aurora sighed and walked towards Hermione who had now closed her book and held it under her arm.

"Aurora, please tell me what's going on. This isn't the first time I've caught you talking to yourself"—

I'm going to make this story as long as possible so it's going to stray away from actual HP scenes unless it's something crucial.
Also I love Alex and Aura, they are my literal babies <3
