MAEVE WOKE UP TO THE UNPLEASANT SOUND OF A BEEPING ALARM, something she hadn't experienced before. Maeve laid in bed for a while, she had never got up at 5AM in the morning before and it was a strange, foreign feeling to her. The sun wasn't even up yet. She remembered what she had to do today, and that was training. "Ahhhhh shit." She cursed to herself. "Wake up, you lazy bug! Wilson told me to get ya cause you were taking too long." Rocket said from the other side of her door. 'Of course he would,' she thought. Her room was basically connected to the living space, right in front of her door was the kitchen.

"Listen, Maeve, sweetheart, I like ya but if you don't get up in the next 5 minutes I'm gonna have to start banging two pots together."

-

After freshening up, Maeve put on the most active clothes she could get her hands on, which was a grey sports bra and some black yoga pants. She tied her hair up a high ponytail and took off her jewelry and whatnot.

Also, Maeve hadn't really been to the part of the Tower where the Avengers went to train, she never really cared for it anyway. She didn't know what to expect when walking in but the training room was not what she pictured it to be. Thor was lifting weights in the corner, Wanda was running laps, Bucky was occupying a punching bag and Scott was reading a book on the bench. "Ah, finally you're here. I hope you're ready," said Sam, who randomly appeared right next to her. "Here goes nothing." She shrugged.

On her first day, she would start her combat training. She was told to run 25 laps to start, Maeve barely made 10 before she started getting nausea. She ran the other 15 laps and collapsed on the ground, wheezing. The piercing white ceiling light that was blinding her eyes was blocked by Sam's shadow. He grinned as he watched her, almost passing out.

"Ready to get dirty?"

-

It was now 9 am and it had been 3 hours since Maeve had begun her training. During those 3 hours, she had completed at least 50 laps, she mastered uppercuts and basic punches with the help of Bucky and she also even learned a bit of parkour. Maeve was pretty determined to learn and to Sam, she seemed like a fast learner. She could easily adapt as well as overcome her stress.

The second part of the training was with Scott, his suit was the only thing that could stand her radioactive energy. Everyone watched from the security cameras as they sat in the airtight room together. The first time almost exposed the whole room, it even knocked Sam off his feet when he was watching behind alumnia-vibranium based glass.

"You have a quantum-energy diluter in your RED," said TONY, "You can use it to your advantage, Conner."

Maeve perked up at the new information, "Right!" She exclaimed. Scott looked at her, confused at her sudden outburst. "You think of something?" He asked. She nodded and tapped on her RED, it projected a hologram of the energy rate of the radiowaves. "It's too high! I can stabilize it to a lower rate." As Maeve tapped on her RED again, she was pulled back by a strong force and was on the floor.

"I still have a long way to go.."

-
Maeve was all sore after training, she sat on the couch in the living room, pressing a cold ice pack on her bruises to tend to the injuries.
"How was your first day?" Bucky asked, he gently plopped down next to her. "Painful." She replied. Bucky let out a loud laugh, the crinkle in his eyes and the wide grin made her smile as well.

"What? It's true! I can't believe I have to do this at least 6 days a week now..."

She rested her head on his shoulder, turning his face cherry red. He hadn't felt this warm feeling in a while, and he decided to savor it as much as he could. Bucky rested his head on hers and he picked up the remote to turn on the huge TV. "Do you have anything to do today?" He asked, Maeve shook her head. It was a Monday but surprisingly she was relatively free. "Not that I know of, why?" She answered. Bucky sighed happily, "Well..I was wondering if you...w-wanted to hang out with me today? Like not go out or anything...j-just watch a movie and play games?" He offered shyly, talking over his own words. Maeve giggled and wrapped her arm around his metal one.

"Sure."

-
Maeve decided it was best to make her famous spaghetti that she had made the first time she started cooking for the Avengers. Of course, it was a fan favorite from all of them and she quickly gained support from Peter Quill, whose favorite meal was suddenly pasta now. Maeve wasn't stupid, she knew Peter was into her. She even thought about being with him but realized that she wouldn't really like the cold environment of space and someone had already crossed her mind. She was definitely starting to like Bucky.

After dinner, she finally wasn't the one on dish duty. Sam voluntarily decided to help her with the dishes. "So, how's everything so far? I feel like we haven't really been able to chat much." He said. Maeve shrugged, I guess it's okay. I mean it's really fun training but it's also soooo exhausting! How do you guys do that everyday?" She rambled. Sam laughed and smiled to himself as he slathered soap onto a ceramic plate with a sponge.

"It gets easier."
