Chapter 35

Henry's PoV
Auntie Penelope? I said. She smiled and says yes baby I stared at Harley for a little while before saying she's beautiful. She chuckled to herself and says why thank you. I smiled and said do you know where my mummy and daddy are. She says they're out in the corridor having a conversation I'm sure they'll be back soon. She looked kind of puzzled.

Penelope's PoV
It's been half an hour I say to Hotch and David who also look slightly worried as too where they had all gone. David stands and says I'll go have a quick check for em I'm sure they aren't far, Henry is still here and Emily can't go more than 1hr without the kids. And with that he was gone.

David's PoV
I stepped out of her hospital room and the first thing I see is Jj and Wonder boy on the floor and Emily and Derek hugging. What in the world is going on here I ask slightly confused. I'm told the whole story and the only words that can come out of my mouth are how the hell do you tell a 10 year old all of that. Boy genius chimes in with some fact about kids processing things easier than adults. I smacked him round the head lightly and said that's not what I meant. He sighs and says I know, I think it's best we just tell him straight and they stand. Jj smiles and says can you be there? All of you? We all nodded in agreement and made our way back to the hospital room.

Spencer's PoV
I was so nervous. What if he hates me afterwards? He's 10 years old he can figure that out for himself now. All the possible bad outcomes ran through my brain at a million miles per hour and after what felt like days we reached the door to the hospital room. Here goes nothing I mumble to myself and make my way in. Derek took Harley from Henry and Hotch and Penelope looked highly confused. I knelt down in front of Henry and my eyes began to fill up with tears. Tell me you and mummy aren't breaking up please no?! Henry says who had now began to cry. I took both of his hands and say no no no that's not what's happening, see Henry there's something I have to tell you. He nods slowly and says so what is it? I scratched my head sighed and says how do I say this. Henry you're my son. He giggled and says of course I am silly. I say no no Henry you are my actual son. I'm your dad. He stares at me for a long hard second and whispers I know dummy. Everyone became so confused. I was confused.

Henry's PoV
Mum, dad, Auntie Emily and Uncle Derek made their way into the hospital bedroom. Daddy knelt in front of me and began to cry, I started crying and say Tell me you and mummy aren't breaking up please no?. He shakes his head and says no. The rest of what he says is boring and then he gets to the best part. Henry you're my son. I giggled and say of course I am silly. He says no no Henry you're my actual son. I'm your dad. I mean come on duh of course you are. That was obvious from the start. It looked liked I'd been staring at him a while and in a slow tone I say I know. This confused everyone, I laughed and say I've know for quite some time.
