You'll never be the straw—
To my sweet and delectable iced tea
You'll never be the painting—
Into my white canvas
You'll never be the cherry—
To my toothsome sundae
You'll never be the rainbow—
Right after my drastic rain.

You'll always be the disaster—
To my solemn village
You'll always be the pest—
Into my healthy crops
You'll always be the dust—
To my varnishing floors
You'll always be the bane—
Forevermore.

But heed me first!
You'll sometimes be that significant message—
Into my wandering notepad
You'll sometimes be the yellow—
To my present traffic lights
You'll sometimes be the description—
Into my wholesome book
You'll sometimes be the red mark—
To my overlook.
