Speeding down the busy streets
Swerving through the speeding cars
Pair of feet, tapping on beat
With my eyes quickly dart.

A buzz of words; not enchanting nor special
The polluted road; seemingly superficial
I sniffed the smoke, I cough and told—
"What an atrocious scent! What a resemblance of home!"

Here I laid down my suitcase
Along the paved, tessellated sidewalk
"We've been littering around, I just know and see"
Till I kicked a can, down the mucky black should've been.

Wanting the bucolic, wafting freckles
Seemingly, all I want is to crawl and imagine
The folks around me, I immediately told—
"What an atrocious scent! What a resemblance of home!"
