The Loving Machine

Chapter 36

Levi stared blankly at the chopper as it zoned in the sky. The cool breeze passed through him as he stood on the roof top.

He was too late, he didn't avenge Erwin, the bitch got away. Proceeding back to the lab, he decided to chase the motherfucker and let her taste her own medicine.

On his way, he caught a glimpse of the survilance room, shrugging he went inside. Since he doesn't have any problems on learning how to pilot a chopper on his own and he's confident that he could track them downe easily. Blue-gray eyes skimmed through the monitors but settled on the man that injected him with something.

The said man was on his feet, looking around the room, probably finding a way to get out. Levi stared at the man, something inside him telling not to touch the old Alpha. Plus, he looked familiar. Levi had no problems of taking the drugs in and making it his own, though the side effects must have affected his skin, causing some of his milk-white skin to purple. Almost looking like bruises.

"This is a mess."

Levi perked up, he grabbed the chair and scootted closer to the monitor.

"I knew you can hear me." The man said. "See what you've done?" He gestured at the dead bodies.

The man approached the camera. "Disgusting, you think your mate would still want you?"

Levi eyes widens at the statement. He is to busy about avenging Erwin he forgot about Eren. The raven backed away from the monitor. Looking down at his blood stained hands, Levi panicked. He's a monster.

He ran, he doesn't know where he was going but he must find a shower, hoping that hot water would cleanse him. Eren shouldn't see him like this. The Omega's attention focused on the pain on his chest at the thought of Eren. He killed a bunch of people on that room. Levi disgusted himself.

He let his shoulders bumped on the edges of the corridor as he made a turn and he tripped on a bunch of wires on the floor. Levi fell face flat on the floor.

With a whine, Levi tried to get up when he noticed an open door leading to a room that glows green. Feeding his curiousity, entered the room.

Cylinder glasses lined on the room. The familiar sight almost made him vomit. The view just confirmed who he was. An experiment. About 12 subjects were in the room, all floating on the green like liquid. But something different was on the far corner, instead of green, the last one glows in blue. Taking slow steps, Levi's eyes widen when he reached the suspicious blue glowing container.

"Eren." Levi trembled as he watched a clone of his mate floating inside the cylinder.

Stepping back, the raven eyed the imposter. His instincts were telling him not to be fooled by it, he couldn't sense Eren's calming Alpha demour, infact, he didn't feel anything. It's like an empty vesil.

Why would the bastard scientist make a clone of his mate? Do they know each other?

His questions were answered when his eyes landed on the desk next to it. Quickly searching through some files, Levi got a journal.

'All those sleepless nights of trail and error, I've finally found the solution!' the simple text was followed by equations and formulas. Levi hinted that this journal belonged to the people who experimented him.

'The problem is, no matter how much a bribe strangers to help me with my experiments, no wants to help! And my son is adding up on my list of problems!'

Levi blinked at the word 'son', he read further to confirmed his intuition.

'I did it! My experiments is a success! All I have to do is to present this to the higher ups. I know my son have some good use.'

'Everything is going well, I've got my personal lab, the recognition and the money. But, I should have left that girl off the streets!'

'Why? Why this is happening? I've created the most powerful killing machine and all of that went to waste when I took Mikasa in. Everything should have been perfect!'

Levi breath hitched when he saw Mikasa's name. Then all the pieces came together. Why Grisha looked like Eren, why the scientist had a clone of his mate. They are father and son. Eren was the first experiment, it made sense why his Alpha wasn't affected by his vemon, why Eren heals faster. But does Eren know? Levi shook his head, his Alpha probably had no idea, it's better to keep it that way.

But that didn't explain why Grisha made a clone.

Skipping through the pages, Levi found his answer. The entry must have been written during his stay on Rose.

'I realized that no matter how much eliminate one's second gender, it will always rose. Fucking An43.'

'My son should be my prized, I should have not left him..' Levi frown at the text, maybe Grisha isn't that bad.

'But the past is in the past, implementing the experiment on humans is futile. However, if the subjects were not human, maybe my experiments were not much of a failure.'

Okay, scratch that, Levi growled. How could a father do this? He was out of his mind. The raven pulled out the cabinets on the desk, spilling all the files on the floor. He had to distroy them, he had to distroy the place. He had to protect Eren. Levi looked back at the clone, he missed his Eren.

But the need to protect Eren was too great. He must distroy everything that could harm his Alpha, that includes his father, his clone and even Levi himself.

Whatever Grisha injected on him seems to aid him alot. Levi got control of the other subjects, keeping anyone out and strengthening the walls around before he'll explode the whole place.

Levi mixed all the necessary things to create the perfect bomb that could eliminate all of them but just enough that it won't wipe out the whole Rose, only the lab's territory.

Levi slowly turned his head on the doorway of the room. He could sense another presence, it was a familiar one.

Eren.

Shaking his head he continued making the bomb. Blinking several times to stop his tears from shedding.

Eren doesn't need to know anything.

Eren doesn't need to see his own father.

Eren doesn't need to know that his father made a clone of him.

Eren doesn't need to know.

He repeated those words to keep his selfish thoughts away. Because for the record, he forced Eren into everything. He's nothing but a selfish midget.

Alteast there's one unselfish thing that Levi could do now. He needed to keep Eren safe.
