Chapter 5

*At the restaurant. Your Pov*

We pulled up to this huge beautiful building. Mr. Sargent exited the car first. Jim was next and he extended his hand out to help me get out

"This place looks gorgeous" I said as we walked to the front doors.

"My wife loves this place. I take her here as often as I can" Mr. Sargent smiled at us

"That's so romantic" I smiled back

We walked into the building and I was hit with many different food smells. My stomach immediately growled

"Someone's hungry!" Mr. Sargent chuckled as he looked to my stomach

"Yep! Our little nugget is already causing her to have a crazy appetite with crazy cravings" Jim chuckled

"Hi! Table for 3?" The hostess asked us

"Oh, no sweetie, my wife is already here. Mrs. Sargent" He said

The hostess looked to her list and smiled

"Yep! But she has you down for a table for 2. Not...4" The hostess looked to Jim and I

"And now we need a table for 4" Mr. Sargent smiled

"Right this way" The hostess smiled and grabbed some menus. We walked to the small 2 seater table where Mrs. Sargent was sitting

"Hi honey" Mr. Sargent leaned down and kissed his wife on the cheek

"Hello dear. Who are your guests?" She asked as she looked to us. I quickly, and slyly, grabbed Jim's hand.

"This is Mr. and Mrs. Halpert! They work for a paper company" Mr. Sargent said

"Husband and Wife working together? How romantic" Mrs. Sargent smiled at us

"We have your table ready" The hostess said. Mrs. Sargent got up and we all followed the hostess to a new, larger, table

"Thank you" Mr. Sargent said to the hostess. She smiled and handed us our menus

I looked around to all the customers eating and then back to Jim. We were extremely under dressed.

"I'm so sorry about how under dressed we are. We were out on the town when we heard you dropped your supplier" I said

"Out spending time with each other on your day off and you drop everything to make us an offer? That's dedication!" Mrs. Sargent said

"It is. But enough business talk. We can do that later. Let's enjoy lunch" Mr. Sargent said

We ordered our food and drinks. This place was far too expensive for Jim and I but we had to keep the act up

"So, Y/n, how did you meet Jim?" Mrs. Sargent asked me. I swallowed my food and grabbed Jim's free hand before I started talking

"In high school! We we're only 15 years old but I swear it was love at first sight" I looked at Jim and smiled. He brought my hand up to his lips and kissed it. Butterflies fluttered around in my stomach when I felt his soft lips on my skin

"It was" Jim said as he slowly brought our hands back to the table

"That's beautiful. When did you get married?" Mrs. Sargent asked

"As soon as we could. The day after Y/n turned 18. Didn't wanna get married on her birthday" Jim chuckled

"Yep! Our 10 year anniversary is on Wednesday" I added. Which was kinda the truth. My birthday was on Tuesday. So technically our anniversary would be Wednesday
