Chapter 14

*A few days later*

I rolled over in bed and looked at Jim. He was sprawled out on the bed and still sleeping

"So cute" I whispered to myself as I watched him lightly snore. Jim and I haven't defined our relationship yet and I don't want to ruin anything by asking him to. It's been almost a week since we started...whatever this is...and it was going so well

I climbed out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I turned on the shower and waited for the water to heat up. I had a nice long hot shower and walked back to Jim's room

"Hey" I whispered as I gently rubbed his back. He rolled over on his side and smiled at me

"Morning" he said. His voice was husky and low

"Morning" I kissed his head and walked over to the closet. I had brought some work clothes over and hung then up so they wouldn't get wrinkled. As Jim showered I got dressed and did my hair.

"We're gonna be laaattteeee" I shouted out to Jim as I walked to the door and put my shoes on. Jim came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist

"Since we're already gonna be late we might as well be extra late" He whispered as he pushed his erection into my back. I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck and pushed my body into his. He let out a soft moan and pressed his lips to mine. I slowly intertwined my fingers in the hair on the back of his head and slipped my tongue into his mouth. His hands slid down to my ass and he gripped it tightly as he lifted me in the air. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he pushed my back up against the wall

"J-Jim" I pulled away but he quickly kissed me again before I could stop him. I only wanted to kiss him but damn he makes me so horny

"W-We can't be late again" I said in-between kisses

"Tell Michael we saw a group of puppies on the road" Jim said as he slid his hand along the inner of my thigh and up my skirt to my panties. He rubbed them and felt how wet they were

"F-Fine" I said as he slipped his finger under the one side of my panties and slowly ran it down my opening. He slipped one finger inside of me and I moaned into his mouth. He smirked and pulled it out and brought it to my mouth

"You absolutely destroy me when you make that fucking face" He harshly whispered in my ear. Jim pulled me away from the wall and threw me on his couch. He undid his pants and climbed on top of me after he took them off. His large erection pressed into my inner thigh as he pulled my skirt up and pushed my panties to the side. "Oh shit, sorry" he laughed as he stood up. I slipped out of my skirt and adjusted my panties before I stood up with him

"I really wanted to wear this today" I said as I looked at it again. I walked to the bedroom and threw it in the dirty clothes pile. I grabbed a pair of pants from the hanger in Jim's closet and out them on

"I'll try to aim better next time" Jim jokes as he buttoned up his pants and laughed. I rolled my eyes and chuckled with him.

We ended up getting to work 5 minutes late. Michael bough the story about the puppies and let the tardiness slide, again

"You're late again" Dwight said to Jim as he sat down at his desk

"Yeah, there were some puppies an-"

"I don't care" Dwight said as he continued his work. Jim shrugged and looked over to me. I smiled at him and he smiled back and then looked at his desk

"Okay guys!! Now that everyone is here I wanna make an announcement!" Michael shouted out from the doorway of his office.

"We are gonna go on an office trust exercise retreat!!" He began clapping but no one else did

"A what?" Angela asked him

"We are all going to pack into a van tomorrow and spend the whole day at a crazy fun and huge obstacle course made to help us learn to trust one another!!" He clapped again and this time Andy and Kevin joined him

"Why?" Stanley asked Michael

"Because I don't think you guys trust each other enough, Stanley!!" Michael whined

"I definitely don't trust any of you" Dwight said as he cautiously looked around

"I think it's a fun idea" I shrugged. Jim smiled at me and looked to Michael

"I agree" He said

"Of course you agree with her! She's your girlfriend" Dwight scoffed

"Not my girlfriend" Jim quickly corrected him. I immediately felt like my whole world had crashed down around me. Why was he so quick to deny it? What have we been for the past week? Friends with benefits? Jim looked at me and I put on my best fake smile until he turned around but it felt like I was going to throw up I was so hurt. I mean, he's telling the truth. We technically aren't boyfriend and girlfriend but...it felt like it? I thought he wanted that

"Great! It's settled then! I'll make the pairs now and you can prepare for tomorrow!" Michael clapped and began handing people small pieces of paper

"Wait, we don't get to pick our partners?" Jim asked

"Nope! I pick them. I've picked who I feel like you need to learn to trust more" Michael handed me my paper and I looked at the name

"Ryan"

I sighed and looked towards Ryan and Kelly. Ryan smiled at me and held up the paper that said my name

"You'll learn to trust me more than you trust Jim" Ryan said. I looked from Ryan to Jim and back

"Yaaayyy..." I sarcastically said. Everyone said who they were partnered with. The teams for tomorrow's day of trusting were

Michael decided he wasn't going to do it because he trusted everyone already

At the end of the day Jim and I walked out to our cars. I had left mine here when I stayed at Jim's house. He watched me unlock my car and gave me a strange look

"You're going home?" He asked me

"Oh, uh, yeah" I said as I opened the door and got inside. I was still really hurt by what he said earlier but I didn't tell him

"Oh..I thought you were coming to my house" he said as he looked to his car

"I have some things to do around the house..water some planet and feed my fish" I nervously laughed. I was bad at lying to him

"You don't have a fish" he said as he raised an eyebrow. I forgot he's been to my house before. Yikes.

"Gotta buy a fish and feed it" I nervously laughed even louder and closed my car door. I sighed and started up my car. I pulled out of the parking lot and drove home in silence

"Tomorrow is gonna suuuuuccckkkk...."
