The Day I Almost Died

Sunshine woke me up in the morning
Howling of the winds were resounding
In the distance is danger lurking
.
Outside my pond, I roamed around
I heard a crackle on the ground
I turned around to hear a sound
.
A dog barking caught my stare
I was shocked so I hopped from his glare
Jumping my way to escape the snare
.
Leaves crunched as I tumbled
The setter stopped and fumbled
Behind him, a man mumbled
.
I laid behind the tree
Planning to swing and flee
I swung and was made free
.
I jumped towards the gushing matter
Splashing as I swam in the water
I arose from the pond spattering clutter
.
I thought I was emancipated
But on my spot, he gravitated
He wants my head decapitated
.
I hopped quickly to hide inside a log
He dropped his knife on the bog
He searched for me through the fog
.
Suddenly, I saw my friend coming
He took out his weapon for fighting
His pointy needle was frightening
.
Their vision halted into a fuzz
My friend killed them as he continue to buzz
I thanked him for saving me in this fuss
.
I stepped on the man's cloak
I relaxed near the oak
He is gone now so I let out a "croak"
