I was sitting in 3rd period bored out of my damn mind I refuse to talk to this nigga Melo he keeps nudging me in my side tryna get my attention I knew I couldn't stay mad at his ass tho and I know he lame ass knows that

I smack his hand away "don't touch me you traitor" I glare he chuckles "your childish" he laughs I side eye him "okay and you a bitch" I mumble "don't get disrespectful I will beat yo ass" he puts his arm around my neck putting me in a headlock "GET OFF ME!!" I yelled unintentionally causing everyone to look back at us

I was too busy squirming tryna get out of his grip I didn't even notice our teacher was standing dead infront of us til she smacked the damn ruler on the desk we froze Melo letting go instantly "separate NOW I don't got time for this today" she complains I get up picking up my bag "fucking bitch" Melo mumbles causing me to chuckle she shoots a glare back at me "what was that Mr.Ball?" She asks stopping him from getting up "mane none get out my face" he says wit an attitude "you just earned yourself a trip to the main office now get out my room" she demands he sucks his teeth "I mean he ain't lying" I mumble also from my new seat

"Oh you wanna talk slick too huh Ms.Walker" she says looking back at me "it ain't disrespectful if it's the truth" I say nonchalantly hearing the class go "ooo" making Melo laugh "oh so you wanna go wit him to the office" she asks wit an attitude herself crossing her arms "I gladly will" I fakely smile grabbing my stuff walking out the room Melo following we bust out laughing as soon as she slammed the door on us "this office trip bouta be a breeze ms.tiara fuck wit me the long way" I laugh Melo swinging his arm on my shoulder laughing along with me

I call my momma she picks up after the 3rd ring "ma" I say hearing her shuffling through something in the background "what girl ain't you at school?" She asks "yea I'm just letting you know if you get a call saying I was disrespecting the teacher but she was getting all up in my face I was defending myself and my friend" I say she laughs through the phone "lemme guess Melo done opened his mouth and now y'all in trouble.......again" she says I sigh knowing already when she get that call in a few minutes she gone be waiting on the couch for me when I get home to beat my ass

"I appreciate you giving me the heads up but I'm still beating yo lil ass when you get home " she says "but momma I ain't do nothing wrong" I whine "girl hush and put Melo on the phone" she demands I put my phone on speaker "lamelo remember when ya father gave me permission to beat ya ass when you was young" she questions I lowkey laugh making him glare "huh" he mumbles tryna act like he ain't hear her "don't huh me boy if you can huh you can hear just know I'm putting that lil privilege to work today on that ass when y'all get back" she threatens "but momma d-" she cut him off "AH- stop right there no but's I don't wanna hear none of y'all's shit y'all too grown to be still acting up in school ya asses is getting tore up" she says hanging up

I look over at Melo annoyed as fuck "were fucked" he says "nigga I know" I say pissed off continuing to the office

We walk out the office wit a pass to be late to lunch we only got a warning as I expected my mom always doing the most for no damn reason I shouldn't have called her crazy ass

I walk far ahead of Melo getting in line quickly grabbing my food sitting down "where was y'all?" Daij asks I suck my teeth "principals office" I say everybody looking at me confused Melo sat down next to me "ms.neal punk ass sent us there for being disrespectful" he shrugs "okay that ain't none why yo face like that" Airi asked "because we just got yelled at by my mom too" I said Niah was just sitting there not saying anything she's been acting all weird around me since that day I seen her leaving jalen's house

"For what?" Airi asks us "I tried to warn her about the phone call but it backfired" I say slightly laughing because honestly I shouldn't even be scared I'm too old to be getting beat still " I ain't even worried for real" Melo says making tomi bust out laughing "nigga you better be the fuck momma d don't play you know that" he says I feel my phone buzz it's a text from Jalen I look back at his table he waves me over "I'll be back y'all" I say

Melo POV

Daij and I was chilling in my car waiting for Nini to get outta cheer practice I couldn't get what happened yesterday outta my mind and I peeped the hickey she had on her neck earlier obviously from prime who I still don't believe is good for her but she'll have to realize that herself

She came out the gym talking to the other girls Daij nudged me out of my gaze "why you staring at her like that?" He asks I hadn't even realized that I was "my bad bro I ain't even realize I was" I say tryna act cool about it "nah something is on yo mind what happened wit y'all?" He asks "mind your business" I scoff "oh so something did happen" He smirks at me asking "chill out nothing like that we just had a lil moment and now idk how I feel" I confess "oh so you feeling her or something" he asks I shrug because honestly I don't know what I feel for her whether it's still only best friends or more than that

"So that's why you been mad about her and prime huh" Daij laughs I glare at him "shut the fuck up no that's because I hate that nigga and he a hoe" I say "nigga so are you" he jokes I flip him off getting startled by Nini tapping on the window

I open my window "get in why you standing here?" I ask she starts rambling bout how she has to go somewhere with niah and airi honestly I wasn't paying attention enough to know "Melo" she says snapping in my face bringing me back to reality "huh" I say licking my lips just looking at her Daij hit my arm busting out laughing I guess peeping what I did "the fuck wrong wit you?" She asks looking at him  confused why the fuck he was laughing so damn hard "anyways I'll text you later" she says I nod "okay text me when you get there so I know you alright" I say "yea I know the drill see you later" she smiles reaching into the window hugging me

I let go backing out the parking lot "nigga you make that shit so obvious" he says I roll my eyes because I knew I shouldn't have said nothing to his big mouth having ass watch him tell the whole gang bout this shit "ain't nothing to make obvious the fuck you mean" I say he shakes his head at me side eyeing me "you ain't fooling nobody wit that shit we all knew it was bound to happen" he says I suck my teeth turning into his street seeing my phone light up seeing it's a text from Ashley
