Jennie POV
It's been two years since my relationship with Lisa took a turn for the better and it all started when she arrived that one drunken night.
After I admitted to her that I care about her, she didn't go to work that day. She stayed at home and although we knew we had a lot to work on to be an actual couple, we took our time and it started then when we had breakfast together for the first time as a married couple.
Not long after that turning point in our relationship, Lisa asked me out on a date and I felt like I was finally experiencing what a teenager feels like. There were millions of butterflies flying around in my stomach and it was such a good feeling. I also felt a buzzing and tingling sensation in my being that I couldn't contain.
Our date was very cliche yet romantic. We watched a movie and then we ate. That same night, we shared our first real kiss and that's when I got addicted to them too.
Every single day with Lisa was progress and the more time I spent with her, the more I get to see the real her and the more I started developing genuine feelings for her.
Before I knew it, I was in love with Lisa and everything about her. I love her crazy, funny, caring, annoying at times but most of all, romantic self.
It was five months after our first date when Lisa admitted her love for me. I was waiting for her to get home from work and what I thought would be just an uneventful night, it turned into a night I will never forget.
The show I was watching then was Master Chef as I awaited Lisa. I admit that I was and still am a pretty bad cook but watching so much episodes of Master Chef gives a person so much confidence in the kitchen so I was watching the show to build up my confidence to cook but after I almost burnt down the kitchen, I stopped trying and watching the show all together.
The door opened and I instinctively stood up to greet her home with a hug and a peck. "Hi,"
"Hey. Have you eaten?" She asked me.
"No. You know I always wait for you."
"Right," she chuckled. "How can I not have caught onto that one yet?"
"Hm? I don't know." I turned but my hand were interlaced with hers. "But come on, let's eat." I tried tugging on her hand to make her follow me to the kitchen but she didn't budge. "Come," I said with a smile but I was slightly worried that time. There was an unreadable expression on her face.
"Jen,"
"Yes?" I remembered that my heart was racing so fast in my chest then. I had no clue what she was going go tell me.
And then out of nowhere, a loving smile erupted from her lips. "I love you." And that was another thing I learned about Lisa. When she had something to say, little or big, she doesn't wait for a special occasion to say it. She says it when she feels it. "It's okay if you don't love me. I just thought I'd let you know."
I shook my head. "No, shut up. I love you, too."
"Really?"
"Yes, you idiot."
Lisa started laughing and so did I and when we stopped, our eyes locked with the same amount of passion in them. And that night, we forgot about eating food because we were full from what we did in the bedroom.
