We were chilling in the game room when Milo got a face time. He paused the movie and looked at me apologetically. I shrugged and he answered the phone.

"Hey, Mom."

"Hey Milo, hi Jayden." Mrs. Dunn gave us a knowing look, as I remember my head was resting on his chest.

"Hi Mrs. Dunn," I said quietly.

"So Milo, are you coming home in a couple of weeks?" Mrs. Dunn asked.

"Yeah, we'll be there." He answered.

"We?" She asked. Milo pointed at me and she nodded with a smile. "I can't wait to get to know you better, Jayden."

"I can't wait either." I smiled back. I knew his mom didn't know that well, but I didn't know she wanted to either until now.

"I'll let you two get back to what you were doing." She said awkwardly, "Bye Milo, I love you."

"I love you too, Mom."

His mom hung up and Milo sighed.

"She's gonna torture me because we were cuddling." He said.

"Is that a good thing?" I asked.

"She wants us to date so bad, princess."

"I know that feeling."

"Me too."

"You know how you said after a few more dates, you want to ask me to be your girlfriend?" I asked. I knew he nodded so I continued, "Why don't we go one date closer and go get froyo?"

"It's a date."

-

As he drove to the froyo place

his hand was on my thigh and I loved it, and him. I couldn't be mad because he wanted to wait a little bit longer to ask me to be his girlfriend. If I was in his shoes I would do the same thing. I rested my hand on his as I looked out the window, deep in thought.

-

"Come back to bed!!" I whined when Milo got up for work. I didn't have work until tonight, and I was sad that I would see him all day.

"I have work, princess." He reasoned. I grabbed his hand in an attempt to make him stay, but decided my effort was futile.

"I'll bring you lunch." I compromised.

"It's a date." He winked at me and walked in his closet to get ready for work.

I bet you're wondering where Milo works, and I honestly, I only know where the office is. I actually have no idea what it is that he does.

-

"Hi, how may I help you?" The receptionist at Milo's work asked me.

"I'm here to see Milo Dunn. My name's-" I told her, trying my best to seem confident.

"Jayden West?" She asked, giving me an assuring smile.

"Yes, ma'am." I stuttered. "How did you know?"

"You're the first thing on his schedule."

-

"Hey, princess." Milo greeted me when I walked into his office with our lunch.

"Hi," I said back quietly. "The walk to your office was really awkward."

"Why was that?"

"The receptionist told me I was the first thing on your schedule."
