Part 2 of prev. Chapters "Your love still linger"

Two and half year before

Spaced out in thoughts Daoming Si was looking out of the window of his office at the 30th floor. Befitting his rank it was chosen to be at Jin Mao Tower close to Shanghai Pudong Finance center.

With a marvellous view over the river Doaming Si’s eyes followed the ships coming and going. He frowned and twinkled into the daylight. The sunrays let his headache increase. Slowly he leant his head onto the cool glass to get some relief.

He called for his assistant Wang Li. The well-behaved young man appeared in the door in the same second with a tray in his hands. An Aspirin already prepared together with a huge glass of water. He put the tray onto the desk.

Ah-Si turned towards him, nodded and said “Thank you, Wang Li. You’re gold. I didn’t intend to get as drunk as a lord, what happened yesterday? I cannot clearly remember. When did you bring me home last night?”

The addressed one cleared his throat, looked at the ground for short and then towards his boss. “Mr. Daoming, I’m sorry Sir. The moment your wife showed up I could no longer prevent you from drinking till she had gone.”
Ah-Si nodded again meanwhile he had turned to his desk and sat down, grabbed the glass of water and the painkiller pill to swallow it down.

“As Xiaozi wasn’t with me in the morning, I assume I stayed unbothered by her for the rest of the night.”
“Yes Mr. Daoming. She wasn’t at home when I brought you. I have already started an investigation about her sojourn.”

Wang Li had been almost in his last year at MingDe, when his father became seriously ill. The family wasn’t rich nor poor, but to cover the medicine and the hospital treatments ruined them financially. He was threatened to leave MingDe before he could have had finished his exams which was the moment Ah-Si interfered. The Daomings had always been sponsors of university education and therefore Ah-Si decided to finance a scholarship fund. That had been an initial part of his Embrace-Your-Dream-idea when he was about to end his own studies.

“Thank you, Wang Li. I give you the lead for our EYD jour fixe that morning and please stand in for my appointments too or better try to cancel them if possible. I am not of great help today.”

Wang Li confirmed and left the office. Ah-Si watched him leaving. Choosing this guy was simply luck or better fate. Wang Li proved to be intelligent, gifted with a quick comprehension. He finished his studies with a master in global economies in the end, owned a consolidated knowledge of fund raising and was fluent in several foreign languages.

And on top of it he was completely contrary to Ah-Si. Wang Li was comprehensive, unpretentious, well-mannered and balanced. His unobtrusive and courteous character complemented with Ah-Si’s irascible and right-out one.  Not that the Daoming heir wasn’t able to act well-mannered and balanced, but the happenings in the past had still ripple effects on his change in character. He was glad therefore to know Wang Li at his side to even out his own ill-tempered mood at times.

Ah-Si evaluated Wang Li for being a perfect diplomat and so he became his assistant. Daoming Si installed him also as official CEO of EYD whereas Ah-Si stayed in the background yet.
He was meanwhile Vice President of the Daoming Group but his mother still remained in her domineering position as President. EYD was his very own business and his mother need not to know so far that it worked already well.

She has been strongly reluctant to his business idea since the moment he had tried to introduce it to her. Concerned and petrified by facing his own desperate situation after the violent break up with his Shancai he had almost forgotten about it.
