Bang! Bang!
I shot up! What on the shattering earth is that! I jump out of my bed and reached for my pack on the other side of the bed. I scrambled to pull out my handgun. I never killed anyone, but I would if I had to protect myself. Maybe that's why the police were looking for me? I stole the handgun.....
Another shot rang out from the floor below mine. Who was that? The police? Please no. This can't be happening! I waited another minute until I reached for the door and pecked out. Nothing. I swear I heard someone walking up the stairs.
I creeped over to the stairwell down the hall. Again nothing. I walked down the stairs and stoped at the bottom right before reaching the thirteenth floor. Saw nothing.
Wait!
A blur of darkness crossed the opening to the stairwell. What was that thing? It was so quick! I didn't see any human futures on it. What the heck?
"I'm dreaming." I thought to myself as I look at my phone in my hoodie pocket.
2:34am
"Am I hallucinating?" I walked back up to my room and made sure to lock the door behind me. "I swear I saw it...."
