"Transfer him to a private room," I ordered the 4th year doctor residency who's left with me.

Sabi niya, nasa Pilipinas ang pamilya niya. He's a Filipino actually.

"Yes po, Doktora." Yumuko ito upang magbigay ng respeto.

I nodded my head. "Proceed to my office after, we'll celebrate Christmas together."

"Po?" Tila ay nagulat ito sa sinabi ko. "H-Hindi po ba kayo aalis para ipagdiwang ang pasko kasama ang pamilya niyo?"

"My family is also in Philippines." I smiled and messed his hair. "Bilisan mo ang galaw mo. Magtawag ka ng ibang nurse para matulungan ka."

He nodded his head and followed my instruction. I glanced at the person whose lying on the bed, unconscious. A small smile formed into my lips as I say the words.

"We meet again." Maybe he come here in New York to celebrate Christmas with his family since his mother is here, too.

May asawa na ba siya?

I shrugged off the thought that builds inside my head. Nakaraan na 'yun. Like what I've said, for the past seven years, a lot of changes occured. Who knows? Baka si Kylie na sinasabi ni Adam ay ang asawa niya, 'di ba?

Then I felt a pang of pain inside my chest. Bakit pa ba ako nasasaktan? Matagal nang panahon ang nakalipas. I should move forward. I looked at my wrist watch, Jared's family will be here soon. Tinawagan sila ni Gelo, the 4th year residence.

Inayos ko ang aking suot na damit, sakto namang pumasok ang tatlong nurse na lalaki at dalawang babae na pinangungunahan ni Gelo. Tinanguhan ko lang ito at tinignan ang ibang mga nurse na yumuko.

"After bringing him to his room, check his blood pressure and make sure to put the dextrose with the proper dropping," I said.

They all nodded their head. "Yes, Doc."

I looked at Gelo. "Magpapahangin lang ako sa labas saglit. Dumiretso ka kaagad sa office ko at hintayin mo ako du'n."

"Yes, Dok."

Agad kong nilisan ang lugar. I licked my lower lip as I took my steps. Habang naglalakad, iniisip ko kung paano ko iiwasan ang magtagpo ang landas namin ni Jared. I hugged myself as I felt the cold breeze around me. Napangiti ako habang pinapanood ang pag-ulan ng snow mula sa langit.

Naglakad ako papunta sa isang restaurant na maraming tao. I guess this restaurant still opens on holidays. Lahat ng taong andito ay mahahalata mong mayaman, from their bags on their tables and foods, their jewelries, and also their etiquette in eating.

Nang makalapit ako sa counter ay agad kong itinuro ang lahat ng nasa menu na nakalagay sa ibabaw ng kanilang counter.

"I'll order them all. Three orders each and deliver it to Monte Hospital, neurological department." Nilahad ko ang aking debit card. "Here."

She cashier smiled and quickly swiped it on the machine. Agad din naman niya itong sinauli.

"Thank you for purchasing at NineTen, Ma'am. Please come again."

I nodded and look at my wrist watch. "Please have my order faster."

"Right away, ma'am."

Tumalikod na ako at naglakad palabas ng restaurant. Thank God there are restaurants who are still open. Dahil kung wala, talagang uuwi ako ng condo para lang magluto ng pagkain.

Sa gitna ng momonologo, nakarinig ako ng mahinang pag-ubo sa likod ng tatlong malalaking trash cans. Naglakad ako palapit dito, hinahanda ang sarili na baka sakaling merong mga mafioso and nag-eespiya sa'kin dito.
