---------------------

Virgil hummed softly to himself, closing the glass door behind him. He sat down on one of the cushioned chairs far enough under the porch roof to prevent getting wet from the rain. He held a cup of hot chocolate, sipping it as he watched the rain pour down.

He loved monsoon season, loved the rain. It smelled refreshing, and the rain itself hit the roof in a rhythm that calmed Virgil.

Virgil only tore his gaze away from the downpour when the door opened and closed again. His boyfriend gave him a small smile, and Virgil moved slightly so that Roman could fit beside him.

He wrapped an arm around his creative love, and Roman sighed quietly, nuzzling Virgil's neck slightly before opening up his sketchbook. The rain made it easier for Roman to concentrate, and the sound itself helped him clear his mind.

Virgil watched Roman start a clean page in the book, but looked away after a few minutes to let the artist work in piece. Instead, he finished off his warm drink and placed it onto a small table nearby, before getting comfortable again and dazing off into the storm.
