It's only been 2 days but anyone can go crazy by then. Maya got Cory's message awhile ago and even though she knows it could be a lie it isn't. Riley committed suicide and now it's funeral time. Maya didn't know how to act but she knew that she had to get going. She left literally four months ago and she doesn't know what to do. One stupid conversation. Just one tiny conversation and everything has changed. Not just the way that Maya feels but also how she thinks. How could Josh hide how he feels? How long will he be able to do it? He still hasn't even spoke to her which says enough.
It's four-thirty and Maya wakes up. She couldn't actually sleep a lot and only fell asleep at 03:59. She was very tired but she couldn't sleep any longer. Her mother told her to go to New York and she was considering it.
Maya sat up and looked at her clock. She sigh at the time and jumped out of bed. She then took a warm shower trying to get awake and got dressed.

I've had it. Mom is right. I won't be able to get over everything when I'm here.
Maya took her suitcase and packed a few clothes and everything she'll need. She put it in her car which she got last month and drove to New York. It was sudden and not a good decision but she had to do it. She had to see for herself that not everything is over. But how does your life fall back together after your best friend dies?
